The boarding house for St Monica’s students
is situated at St. Augustine’s College - Chavoin
Residence. While this residence cannot replicate
home, it does reflect a strong sense of family and
a sense of both fun and purpose.
All staff work hard to provide high quality support,
supervision plus educational and spiritual
guidance for the young women in their care.
Fulltime boarders enjoy a weekend program
which offers sport, activities, free time, outings
and study. Weekly boarders leave on Friday
afternoon and return in time for Mass on Sunday
night. During the week, they follow the same
timetable as the weekly boarders.
The residence is air-conditioned with bright
spaces to decorate and their own study areas.
Library, swimming pool, music centre, IT facilities
and other amenities are accessible.

St Ursula’s College, Yeppoon, is the only all Girls
Catholic Boarding and Day Secondary College
in Central Queensland. In January 2021, the
College welcomed Mrs Kerry Thompson to the
position of Head of Boarding. Kerry relocated
to the Capricorn Coast from Sydney, where she
was Head of Boarding at the McDonald College.
As Head of Boarding, Kerry aims to nurture the
students and engage them in co-curricular and
community-based activities, to create positive,
memorable experiences.
Situated on campus, the Boarding House is
within walking distance to Yeppoon Main Beach
