and residents at<br />
the Care Home<br />
took delivery of<br />
the drinks and<br />
thanked the management team at the Brian Boru for their<br />
generosity.<br />
Demelza James, Care Home Manager, commented,<br />
“These drinks will be used for our next party. Thank<br />
you so much for the donation!” Wellbeing Coordinators<br />

Ashton View is a welcoming, purpose-built care home<br />
with 58 beds that works closely with the local hospice to<br />
assist in providing specialised end-of-life care.<br />
Help Needed<br />
If you’re interested in community gardening and live in<br />
the Orrell/Billinge area, then local community group<br />
Brighter Better Orrell area want to hear from you. The<br />
group have entered this year’s RHS In Bloom under the<br />
‘It’s your Neighbourhood’ category, ideal for bringing<br />
members of the community together to make positive<br />
changes to they place where they live.<br />
The group are expecting the judges to visit Orrell/Billinge<br />
at the end July or early in <strong>August</strong> and want volunteers<br />
to tidy, litter pick, weed, plant and water over the next<br />
few weeks. If you can spare some time this summer then<br />
please contact the group via the Facebook page ‘Brighter<br />
Better Orrell’ or email info@brigherbetterorrell.org.uk.<br />
The group are also appealing for local businesses to get<br />
involved in their drive to make Orrell/Billinge a cleaner<br />
and greener place to live. If you can sponsor planters and/<br />
or hanging baskets, or even donate some bedding plants<br />
to the In Bloom effort then please contact the group via<br />
their Facebook page.<br />
