Preveli beach is certainly the most famous beach of southern Crete receiving
thousands of visitors every summer. On the banks of the Kourtaliotis River is a
large colony of palm trees which gives the area a sense of African landscape.
The river forms a large lake 1.5km long before it flows into the sea and has
water all year round. Our Day tour starts from Agia Galini at 09:00, at 10:00 we
will be at the parking located to the west side of preveli beach. From the high
cliffs you will have the chance to see the breathtaking views of the palm forest
and Kourtaliotis river which ends to South Cretan Sea. We will be at the beach
approximately 10:30 and we will find easily a cool place below the trees to stay
for 4 hours. During this time you will have a guided tour (1 1/2 hour) in the palm
forest and to the river with several stops for swimming in the small lakes. Our
tour continous to Damnoni beach by boat ,another beatiful and popular beach
of southern coast. At Damnoni we will stay for 2 hours in which you can have
many options for lunch, there are several restaurants and taverns. Our day
tour ends to Agia Galini approximately at 18:00.
