Preveli beach is certainly the most famous beach of southern Crete receiving
thousands of visitors every summer. On the banks of the Kourtaliotis River is a
large colony of palm trees which gives the area a sense of African landscape.
The river forms a large lake 1.5km long before it flows into the sea and has
water all year round. Our Day tour starts from Agia Galini at 09:00, at 10:00 we
will be at the parking located to the west side of preveli beach. From the high
cliffs you will have the chance to see the breathtaking views of the palm forest
and Kourtaliotis river which ends to South Cretan Sea. We will be at the beach
approximately 10:30 and we will find easily a cool place below the trees to stay
for 4 hours. During this time you will have a guided tour (1 1/2 hour) in the palm
forest and to the river with several stops for swimming in the small lakes. Our
tour continous to Damnoni beach by boat ,another beatiful and popular beach
of southern coast. At Damnoni we will stay for 2 hours in which you can have
many options for lunch, there are several restaurants and taverns. Our day
tour ends to Agia Galini approximately at 18:00.

SAMARIA
GORGE

The Samaria gorge is the favorite trail for hikers visiting the island.
The stunning beauty of Samariá Gorge National Park is an important
aspect of the island’s attractions.
The hike is not too difficult but it is a long one, the walking tour
from one end of Samaria gorge to the other is a challenging 18
kilometers.
On this full-day excursion you’ll be picked up from Agia Galini and
travel by comfortable bus to the famous plateu of Omalos located at
an altitude of 1250 meters above the sea level.
From here the path of Samaria gorge begins, it will takes 5-6 hours to
cross the gorge with 3 stops (15 minutes). There are a number of
stopping points along the route, where you’ll find toilets and drinking
water. The lower trail is mostly on rounded river bedrock and hiking
shoes seem to be better than boots.
At the end of the gorge you will reach the port Village of Agia
Roumeli. While waiting for the boat that will takes you to Sfakia you
can enjoy lunch in one of the several Taverns or you have a
refreshment swim in the crystal clear waters. Our bus will be waiting
for you in Sfakia.

DAY TOUR
BOTANICAL GARDEN
SWIMMING TO TRIOPETRA
AND MELABES
This tour offers a visit to one of the most diverse botanical gardens of Crete. The Maravel
Garden is the creation of Stephanos Maravelakis. Intermingled with a variety of flowering
trees there are over 300 common and unusual medicinal herbs. The garden is composed of
local and tropical species from all over the world. These spices and herbs have been used for
centuries by the Cretan people as treatment of chronic illnesses or emergencies. On the
guided tour Stephanos will explain the benefits and uses of the plants and herbs. After the
garden our journey to Tripopetra Beach will take us through the Cretan countryside of hills
and small villages. Along the way we are greeted with scenic panoramas of mountains and
the Libyan sea. Our visit at the beach is for 3 hours. There you will find spectacular sea views,
restaurants, swimming and walking on the beach. The umbrellas and sunbeds are free of
charge. On our return we will have a one hour stop at the village Melabes for refreshments.
After this we will continue and arrive at 18:00 in Agia Galini.
