Even though the brand is influenced by Indian
heritage. It creates a global presence as well as
they have clients across the world because of
the timeless silhouettes, colours and patterns
which don't fail to stand out. This attracts the
foreign customers towards this brand as well.
N I C H E
Majority of clients are from India as our
silhouettes, colours, prints are inspired by our
Indian heritage in a way. We attract Indian
clients the most. Hence, the collections need to
have a hint of Indian culture with the
amalgamation of western fashion trends, that's
what sets this brand apart from the rest of the
ones in the market alongside with it.
I N F L U E N C E R M A R K E T
A lot of the clients are influencers, actors and
celebrities. Hence, the collections are inspired
by upcoming trends and what is in fashion that
particular season. As a lot of the clients are
attracted towards the clothes of the brand
when influencer posts in the brands clothing.
That is when the sales of the brand peaks.
F E M A L E C L I E N T E L E
Women are the leading consumers of his
brands, especially millennial women. As the
brand produces fun, quirky yet wearable
festive clothing for women who like to indulge
in fashion. Since the clothes are a little on the
pricey, women buying from the brand are
working women from urban parts of the
country.

RESEARCH ANALYSIS
& KEY INSIGHTS
WORK FROM HOME CULTURE
Work from home as a concept has boomed in 2020-21. People prefer,
comfort over fashion, simple silhouettes yet classic are one which has
seen an extreme demand. Loose yet chic pieces have seen the maximum
buys. This collection focuses on fulfilling both the needs of the
consumer, comfort with fashion. Sticking to the classic white shirt
silhouette, with 80's-90s power dressing detailing and finished with
delicate pressed flower embroidery. Perfect for a work from home look as
well as something one can step out in as well, it's a statement piece in
one's wardrobe. You can wear it the way it is or layer it with something
basic, a shirt making the statement.
ONE SIZE FOR ALL
Inclusivity as a concept has been spoken about in Indian fashion for the
longest time. A few designers, stylists, magazine editor, fashion
creatives are trying to make a change in this industry to make fashion
for all.
My designer's clientele being Indian women, normally bodies of Indian
women are on the curvier end, hence a large chunk of the brand's
customers are plus size women.
The aim of this collection is to make fashion for all be it if one is
skinny, healthy, tall, short, fair or dark. This collection is for all
the women out there to feel beautiful in their own skin and our garments
just help to elevate this feeling.
CONCEPT & DESIGN
DEVELOPMENT
DESIGN BRIEF
Designing a SPRING-SUMMER 21/22 capsule collection for
women. Going back to our classic, 'white shirts.' Keeping
work from home culture in mind and designing oversized
loose fits. Give a creative twist to the simple white
shirt dresses with aesthetics aligning with the brand's
ideology. Using key details like collars, laces, sleeves,
placket placement from the 80s-90s. Surfacing focus on
floral embroideries. Using the unused, waste fabrics
produced or purchased in the previous collection
upcycling and incorporating them in this collection.

CONCEPT NOTE
The monotony of the lockdown oriented many with different avocations.
For me, it was my newfound admiration for collecting flowers and
pressing them– one which would go on to become an inspiration for my
collection. Amidst the humdrum, I was swayed by the sheer glimmer and
grace of the blossoms in our backyard. So much so that spending the
entire day in the backyard with my sprightly companions became a ritual.
This blooming affair led me to the conception of a collection of pressed
flowers in a diary which I have earnestly dedicated towards the same
ever since. And so my collection, “THE PRESSED FLOWER AFFAIR”, derives
its inspiration from the transcendence of my relationship with nature’s
most vibrant beings.
