inspir<strong>at</strong>ion from the military style in the<br />
60’s /70’s, Oasis offers confidence and<br />
comfort, bringing neutral earth tones to<br />
life, combining them with vivid summer<br />
colors to cre<strong>at</strong>e a different <strong>at</strong>mosphere.<br />
Women’s wear has voluminous and<br />
romantic silhouettes, incorpor<strong>at</strong>ing frills,<br />
giving the collection a feminine touch.<br />
Whilst Men’s wear is classic but yet<br />
sporty.
Research<br />
Yves Saint Laurent first introduced<br />
the safari jacket in his 1967 runway<br />
shows. However, it was a one -off<br />
design cre<strong>at</strong>ed for a photo-essay for<br />
Vogue Paris the following year th<strong>at</strong><br />
made the design famous and quickly<br />
turned into a classic.<br />
With the safari jacket Saint Laurent<br />
continued to define his style, which<br />
borrowed from male codes of dress to<br />
revolutionize women’s fashion. He was<br />
inspired <strong>by</strong> both the uniforms worn <strong>by</strong> the<br />
African Corps and more broadly the outfits<br />
worn <strong>by</strong> occidental men in Africa.<br />
