Maya is dedicated to projectsthat have a sense of “purpose” in the world, selecting stories that illuminate some aspect of the humanexperience that is untold, rarely seen, or might benefit from new approaches to issues of diversity andinclusion, primarily in America.AMY ZARANEK is an award-winning writer and the managing editor of The Black Fork Review. Her writinghas appeared in Yemassee Journal, matchbook, Stymie Magazine, and elsewhere, and her essays havebeen anthologized in collections such as Our Best War Stories and Tales from Six Feet Apart. Amy holds anMFA from Ashland University and lives and writes in northern Michigan.
