Professor Robin Cohen (MCR 2007-) is the
general editor of the International Library of
Studies on Migration (Edward Elgar publisher),
a series founded by him in 1996, five of which
he has edited or co-edited himself. The fifteenth
volume, Migration and Climate Change (ed.
Graeme Hugo), has just appeared, achieving a
total of 10,000 pages for the series. As Robin
admits, ‘the cost of one of these books can feed
a family for a week or two, but bear in mind the
publishers are paying large fees for reprints.
For some libraries getting digital access is even
more expensive, while some of the original
introductions have served to delineate the key
sub-fields in migration studies.’
