8 SEPTEMBER 

TEENAGE FANCLUB :: At Forum, London. 

Scottish alternative rock band Teenage Fanclub 

have shared a preview of their highlyanticipated 

album with a new song and video. 

“In Our Dreams”, written by the band's 

Raymond McGinley, is the fifth single off Endless 

Arcade (now out). The song evokes an 

exploratory voyage inward and reflects the 

melancholic yet uplifting themes present 

throughout the rest of the record. The video was 

shot at Motherwell Concert Hall by long-time 

collaborator Donald Milne. McGinley had this to 

say about the new song: “To rephrase an 

aphorism most famously used by John Lennon, 

existence is what happens while the human race 

is busy making other plans. This song is kinda 

about that, but like all our songs, we write them 

intuitively and only think about what to say 

about them afterwards.” Even if we weren’t 

living through extraordinarily troubling times, 

there is nothing quite like a Teenage Fanclub 

album to assuage the mind, body and soul, and 

to reaffirm that all is not lost in this world.

BOW ANDERSON :: At Courtyard Theatre, 

London. Edinburgh's Bow Anderson has unveiled 

her beautiful new single, ‘Hate That I Fell In 

Love With You’, which is available now. This is 

the fast-rising Scottish pop star’s first new music 

since debut EP ‘New Wave’ - and breakout single 

‘Sweater’ - which picked up early support across 

Radio 1 and Apple Music 1, saw Bow named one 

of Vevo's Ones to Watch, went top 20 on 

Spotify's Viral Charts and led to Anderson’s first 

TV appearances on the likes of Children In Need. 

Bow has also announced shows at Edinburgh’s 

Sneaky Pete’s on 22nd September and London’s 

Courtyard on 7th October. Listen to ‘Hate That I 

Fell In Love With You’. ‘Hate That I Fell In Love 

With You’ is a haunting ballad as indebted to the 

raw soul tradition Bow was raised on as it is the 

sparse, stripped-back world of early Adele. An 

emotive portrait of what it’s like to fall out of

it?” Bow says with a wry smile), the 

accompanying video “is set in a house 

throughout the rooms where we shared those 

memories. Seeing the good times contrasted 

with the more delicate moments really highlights

watched it because it honestly replicates what I 

went through, and I hope it is relatable to others 

in a similar experience.”

single St Elmo was followed by Vibrations, 

Chameleon and Automatic Love, the latter being 

reviewed as a 'bruising, belter of a song'. In 

addition to these videos, Echo Machine 

collaborated with Thai singer Janine Alissa 

Wollmann on a cover of the Billie Eilish track Bad 

Guy, producing an accompanying music video. 

Their single 'Headlights' was also well-reviewed, 

being described as 'infectious discowave'. The 

success of the band in 2019 prompted BBC radio 

presenter, Vic Galloway, to name the band as 

one of his 25 Scottish Artists to Watch in 2020.

his 30th Anniversary as a professional musician,

2021 featuring tracks from his solo records and

There will also be a brand new solo album

Dark” earlier this year, Django Django continue 

to cast their art pop spell, this time with an 

irresistible double whammy – a hilarious and 

subversive video for new single “Kick Out the 

Devil”, as well as a radical rework of the track by 

steel pan legend Fimber Bravo. And finally! 

Django Django will also be heading out on tour 

this autumn, bringing “Glowing in the Dark” to 

audiences for the very first time on a 

comprehensive string of dates around the UK

JUST MUSTARD :: At Sneaky Pete’s, Edinburgh. 

Just Mustard consist of vocalist Katie Ball, 

guitarists David Noonan (also backing vocals) 

and Mete Kalyon, bassist Rob Clarke, and 

drummer Shane Maguire. Their heady blend of 

noise, trip hop, and electronic-influenced music 

has helped them build a reputation as one of 

Ireland’s most thrilling new bands. Their 2018 

debut ‘Wednesday’ earned acclaim at home and 

abroad – most notably capturing a Choice Music 

Prize nomination for Irish Album of the Year. 

Fader praised the band’s “intense and rich 

shoegaze-meets-noise sound,” NME called their 

album “a two-toned masterpiece,” the Irish 

Independent described it as “a swirling 

atmosphere-heavy thrill-ride,” and Stereogum 

said “it’s easy to imagine Just Mustard garnering 

more international attention in the near future”. 

Their 2019 double A-side ‘Frank/October’ earned 

spotlights from KEXP as a ‘Song Of The Day’ and 

from BBC Radio 1 as ‘Tune Of The Week’. The 

band supported Fontaines DC on their sold out

CHUBBY AND THE GANG :: At Mash House, 

Edinburgh. Fast rising London punk 5-piece 

Chubby and the Gang have announced a bumper 

40-date tour of the UK and Ireland through 

November and December of this year offering a 

chance for many to finally see just why they've 

become one of the most exciting and talkedabout 

punk bands in the world over the past 

year. Fronted by Manning (a former cabbie who 

now also works as an electrician), Chubby and 

the Gang have been leading a pack of bands 

coming out of a new wave of British Hardcore. 

Speed Kills was one of the critical surprises of 

the year thanks to its unrelentingly fun 

concoction of hardcore, pub rock, doo wop, and 

blues. The album was produced by Jonah Falco 

of F**ked Up, and boasts songs of deep 

substance and political conscience with a precise 

sense of time and place. It received an 8.0 

Pitchfork review, Stereogum praised its “massive

take to the road this winter for their first live 

dates since 2019. The band’s new limited edition 

book includes intimate behind the scenes 

photographs and captivating images from the 

stage during the band’s 2019 tour dates in 

Bristol, Southampton, Oxford, Nottingham, 

Liverpool, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Belfast, Dublin, 

Leeds and Coventry. Speaking about the book, 

Connor elaborates: "Originally there was no 

intention to make a book, we had Peter out on 

the road with us taking pictures but we thought 

it would be cool to use all the photos from one 

period of time to create something physical 

rather than images just sitting on Instagram or 

my hard drive for the rest of time. We’re all 

really happy with how the book has turned out, 

and hope that other people can find just as 

much enjoyment out of it as we do flicking back

DJANGO DJANGO :: At The Mash House, 

Edinburgh. Back in the old world at the start of 

2020, our psychedelic punk heroes The Lovely 

Eggs were primed to release their new album ‘I 

Am Moron’ – their greatest work yet, overflowing 

with political venom and fresh ideas, set 

to a gloriously independent noise. Then, of 

course, the pandemic happened. The Lovely 

Eggs pushed ahead, and the album came out to 

critical-acclaim and indie chart-topping status, 

but their plans to tour it far and wide were 

obviously scuppered. At first, their UK tour was 

rescheduled to just two months later, thinking 

there’s no way the pandemic could last more 

than a few weeks…. Fast forward a year, their 

UK tour has been rebooked independently by the 

band at least five times and The Lovely Eggs are 

still yet to play the new album live, but new tour 

dtaes are now on sale for 2022.

hell is Jerry Joseph? Well Patterson Hood and 

Jason Isbell have gone on record saying he is 

one of the best songwriters and performers 

ever, and are such believers that they backed 

him up on his newest album. Jason Isbell 

called him one of the greatest triple threats, 

a great singer, songwriter and performer. 

Richmond Fontaine liked him so much they 

took him on support for their UK farewell tour 

in 2016. 


16 SEPTEMBER 

TEENAGE FANCLUB :: At Barrowland, 

Glasgow. Scottish alternative rock band 

Teenage Fanclub have shared a preview of 

their highly-anticipated album with a new 

song and video. “In Our Dreams”, written by 

the band's Raymond McGinley, is the fifth 

single off Endless Arcade (now out). The 

song evokes an exploratory voyage inward 

and reflects the melancholic yet uplifting 

themes present throughout the rest of the 

record. The video was shot at Motherwell 

Concert Hall by long-time collaborator Donald 

Milne. McGinley had this to say about the 

new song: “To rephrase an aphorism most 

famously used by John Lennon, existence is 

what happens while the human race is busy 

making other plans. This song is kinda about 

that, but like all our songs, we write them

KNOX :: At Community Central Halls (CCH), 

Marhill Road, Glasgow. The Handsome Family 

have written some of the most haunting and 

beautiful songs in American music. During a 

30-year career, Brett and Rennie Sparks 

have created songs that transform the 

mundane landscape of modern life into a 

place of mysterious portent. 


1 OCTOBER 

ECHO MACHINE :: At Broadcast, Glasgow. 

A loud Pop Group from Dundee, and they 

have gigs! "They will be a flippin' hoot!" Echo 

Machine played the King Tut's Summer 

Nights Festival in 2019. In addition to 

performing live, the band released a number 

of singles in their first year together, many of 

which arrived with accompanying videos. 

Debut single St Elmo was followed by 

Vibrations, Chameleon and Automatic Love, 

the latter being reviewed as a 'bruising, 

belter of a song'. In addition to these videos, 

Echo Machine collaborated with Thai singer 

Janine Alissa Wollmann on a cover of the 

Billie Eilish track Bad Guy, producing an 

accompanying music video. Their single 

'Headlights' was also well-reviewed, being 

described as 'infectious discowave'. The 

success of the band in 2019 prompted BBC 

radio presenter, Vic Galloway, to name the 

band as one of his 25 Scottish Artists to 

Watch in 2020. In January 2020 the band 

announced that their debut album would be 

called Instant Transmissions. 


11 OCTOBER 

DJANGO DJANGO :: At Saint Luke’s, 

Glasgow. Maxïmo Park have released a new 

EP, Live From The Coast, featuring songs 

from their new album Nature Always Wins, 

which hit #2 on the Official UK Albums Chart 

in March. Maxïmo Park have always thrived 

in a live setting, and Live From The Coast 

follows 2019’s As Long As We Keep Moving 

live DVD release. After a year without shows, 

delays and rescheduling, its release comes as 

excitement among fans to see the new songs 

performed live reaches its peak. with a new 

headline tour announced.

MADNESS :: At SSE Hydro, Glasgow. Madness 

have today announced their sure-to-be

Ladykillers Tour’. After 18 months cooped up 

considering their career options (punctuated 

by excursions out for critically acclaimed docuseries 

‘Before We Was We’ and last night’s 

magnificent ‘The Get Up!’ more on which later) 

the Nutty Boys finally get back to doing what 

they do best - uniting the people for a right 

raucous live bash. And with a live set teeming 

with hits from their unrivalled back catalogue, 

what-a-tour this promises to be. Joining 

Madness on The Ladykillers arena tour will be 

very fragrant guests Squeeze. Squeeze first 

formed in 1973, shortly after Chris Difford and 

Glenn Tilbrook had begun their songwriting 

partnership. By 1977 they had made their 

recording debut and enjoyed a string of hits, 

establishing the band as not just a passing 

footnote in new-wave history, but as an 

important and vital part of quintessential 

British music. Following solo careers, the Ivor

CHUBBY AND THE GANG :: At King Tuts, 

Glasgow. Fast rising London punk 5-piece 

Chubby and the Gang have announced a 

bumper 40-date tour of the UK and Ireland 

through November and December of this year 

offering a chance for many to finally see just 

why they've become one of the most exciting 

and talked-about punk bands in the world over 

the past year. Fronted by Manning (a former 

cabbie who now also works as an electrician), 

Chubby and the Gang have been leading a 

pack of bands coming out of a new wave of 

British Hardcore. Speed Kills was one of the 

critical surprises of the year thanks to its 

unrelentingly fun concoction of hardcore, pub 

rock, doo wop, and blues. The album was 

produced by Jonah Falco of F**ked Up, and 

boasts songs of deep substance and political 

conscience with a precise sense of time and 

place. It received an 8.0 Pitchfork review, 

Stereogum praised its “massive barroom gang 

choruses, power chords at breakneck tempos, 

rock spelled R-A-W-K and visceral 

gratification,” while The Guardian declared 

Bow Anderson has unveiled 

her beautiful new single, 

‘Hate That I Fell In Love With 

You’, which is available now. 

This is the fast-rising Scottish pop star’s first new 

music since debut EP ‘New Wave’ - and breakout 

single ‘Sweater’ - which picked up early support 

across Radio 1 and Apple Music 1, saw Bow named 

one of Vevo's Ones to Watch, went top 20 on 

Spotify's Viral Charts and led to Anderson’s first TV 

appearances on the likes of Children In Need. Bow 

has also announced shows at Edinburgh’s Sneaky 

Pete’s on 22 and 23 September and London’s 

Courtyard on 7 October. 

‘Hate That I Fell In Love With You’ is a haunting 

ballad as indebted to the raw soul tradition Bow was 

raised on as it is the sparse, stripped-back world of 

early Adele. An emotive portrait of what it’s like to 

fall out of love with someone (“a pretty shit 

situation, isn’t it?” Bow says with a wry smile), the 

accompanying video “is set in a house throughout 

the rooms where we shared those memories. 

Seeing the good times contrasted with the more 

delicate moments really highlights the heartbreak. 

It made me cry the first time I watched it because it 

honestly replicates what I went through, and I hope 

it is relatable to others in a similar experience.” 

Nonetheless, a positive, bounce-back mentality 

underpins everything Bow Anderson does - and her 

extraordinary road to this point. Bow Anderson was 

born and bred on the east side of Edinburgh. As a 

teenager she took part in competitive trampolining, 

training with people who went on to be part of 

Team GB before a freak accident put a halt to her 

competing (“I almost lost my leg,” she shrugs 

today). But as the body she had bet her future on 

proved fallible, Bow found her voice. During her 

rehabilitation, Anderson’s father would sing with her 

each night to help her get to sleep, which led to 

Bow moving to London after her recovery to hustle 

making music. Coming from a dance and sporting 

background, Bow knew that to succeed she would

KING KING plus special guests THE DAMN 

TRUTH :: At O2 Academy, Glasgow. The Damn 

Truth have extensively toured Europe and the 

USA, opened tours for Z.Z. Top (and partied with 

Billy Gibbons in his pyjamas), the Sheepdogs, 

Styx, and Rival Sons.They sold out the legendary 

Whisky a Go-Go in Los Angeles, sold out the 

Corona Theatre in their hometown of Montreal, 

and even had one of their videos featured on the 

official Janis Joplin Facebook page. It's a 

culmination of a lot of blood, sweat and tears 

that’s come fruition with “Now or Nowhere”. 

“Now or Nowhere” chronicles the band as they 

navigate life, love, and everything else in a world 

gone seemingly upside down and sideways 

during the past year they were unable to finish 

the album with Bob because of COVID-19 

restrictions, the band recorded the remaining 

three songs with help from Juno Award-winning 

producer Jean Massicotte (Patrick Watson, The 

Damn Truth) who mixed “Everything Fades”; and 

the rest of the mixing was done by Vance Powell

In addition, the band have made many large 

festival apperances where they have shared the 

stage with the likes of The Stranglers, Feeder, 

FM and Cats In Space. Also, the band and it’s 

members have won and been nominated for 

numerous awards including Young Artist of The 

Year in ‘The British Blues Awards’ two years 

running in 2012 & 2013. Away from the band, 

it's members have worked with Grammy award 

winners to rock legends. 


20 OCTOBER 

ECHO MACHINE supporting THE NINTH 

WAVE :: At Church, Dundee. A loud Pop Group 

from Dundee, and they have gigs! "They will be 

a flippin' hoot!" Echo Machine played the King 

Tut's Summer Nights Festival in 2019. In 

addition to performing live, the band released a 

number of singles in their first year together, 

many of which arrived with accompanying 

videos. Debut single St Elmo was followed by 

Vibrations, Chameleon and Automatic Love, the 

latter being reviewed as a 'bruising, belter of a 

song'. In addition to these videos, Echo Machine 

collaborated with Thai singer Janine Alissa 

Wollmann on a cover of the Billie Eilish track Bad 

Guy, producing an accompanying music video. 

Their single 'Headlights' was also well-reviewed, 

being described as 'infectious discowave'. The 

success of the band in 2019 prompted BBC radio

Mundell Music Presents ..... VINCENT 

FLATTS FINAL DRIVE :: At Backstage at the 

Green Hotel, Kinross. It's been some time since 

Vincent Flatts laid down "new" music. And, if 

you know anything about the band, and it's 

inimitable frontman Bertie, you'll probably be 

able to guess why. If not, let's just say these 

things take time. The album's title, Back in the 

Saddle, acknowledges Bertie getting back to 

"work" after taking some time out between 2016 

and 2018. While the songs are covers, each 

represents something to him at this time in his 

life. So, it's more than just a hotchpotch. There's 

a story amid the chaos. But all you need to 

know is this: there's blues, there's boozeinfused 

tunes and there's a bollock-load of 

boogie.

Chubby and the Gang have been leading a pack 

of bands coming out of a new wave of British 

Hardcore. Speed Kills was one of the critical 

surprises of the year thanks to its unrelentingly 

fun concoction of hardcore, pub rock, doo wop, 

and blues. The album was produced by Jonah 

Falco of F**ked Up, and boasts songs of deep

MADNESS :: At P&J Live, Aberdeen. Madness 

have today announced their sure-to-be 

triumphant return to the road with ‘The 

Ladykillers Tour’. After 18 months cooped up 

considering their career options (punctuated by 

excursions out for critically acclaimed docuseries 

‘Before We Was We’ and last night’s 

magnificent ‘The Get Up!’ more on which later) 

the Nutty Boys finally get back to doing what 

they do best - uniting the people for a right 

raucous live bash. And with a live set teeming 

with hits from their unrivalled back catalogue, 

what-a-tour this promises to be. Joining 

Madness on The Ladykillers arena tour will be 

very fragrant guests Squeeze. Squeeze first 

formed in 1973, shortly after Chris Difford and 

Glenn Tilbrook had begun their songwriting 

partnership. By 1977 they had made their 

recording debut and enjoyed a string of hits, 

establishing the band as not just a passing 

footnote in new-wave history, but as an 

important and vital part of quintessential British 

music. Following solo careers, the Ivor Novello 

Award-winning duo reunited in 2007 to relaunch 

Squeeze and have been touring, writing and 

recording together ever since, returning to the 

UK album charts and airwaves with 2015’s

THE COMPLETE STONE ROSES :: At The 

Ironworks, Inverness. The Complete Stone 

Roses are one of the UK’s most well-known, 

most seen and most successful tribute bands. 

Selling out venues across the UK and Ireland 

regularly, they have helped to carry on the 

music of one of the UK’s most influential bands – 

The Stone Roses. The Stone Roses played a 

pivotal role in the history of the UK’s indie music 

scene. Famous hits like Fools Gold, I Am The 

Resurrection and I Wanna Be Adored are as 

recognisable now as were the heyday of 

Madchester and the Hacienda, the cultural icons 

from which the original band were born. The 

Complete Stone Roses play to acclaim from fans 

themselves, the press, and even original Stone 

Roses band members. Stone Roses bass player 

Mani says “they do our songs real justice. At 

times, they play even better than we did”.

MELLA DEE + OUTDORES DJs :: At The 

Ironworks, Inverness. Mella Dee, a producer 

defined by a willingness to experiment with a 

wide range of sounds, concepts and landscapes, 

has never limited himself in his approach to 

making music. Influenced by the likes of 

Underground Resistance, Floorplan and Derrick 

May, London based Ryan Aitchison is masterfully 

finding his sound; creating a unique blend of 

driving techno by fusing elements of house with 

essences of hardcore and jungle. Releases on 

DEXT Recordings, Sweden based Omena Records 

and Ben Sim’s Hardgroove label helped gain 

huge support from the likes of Daniel Avery, 

Laurent Garnier, The Blessed Madonna, Bicep, 

Radio Slave, Tijana T, Spencer Parker and Len 

Faki. 


13 OCTOBER 

DEL AMITRI + special guests THE BYSON 

FAMILY :: At The Ironworks, Inverness. Del 

Amitri frontman Justin Currie commented, “It’s 

been nearly 20 years since we toured with a new 

album, lord knows what took us so long. The 

prospect of sprinkling our set with a few choices 

from ‘Fatal Mistakes’ fills us with the sort of 

excitement that, for some men of our age, might 

call for light medication. We think the adrenaline 

will see us through.” Contemporary heartland 

rock quintet The Byson Family will support on all 

dates. Fronted by former Temperance Movement 

vocalist Phil Campbell, the soft release of the 

band’s debut album ‘Kick The Traces’ went 

straight to #1 on the Independent Breakers 

chart and to #3on the Scottish Albums chart 

when it was released in January. An extended 

version of the album will receive a full release 

this summer. 


11 NOVEMBER 

PEAT & DIESEL :: At The Ironworks, Inverness. 

The story began when three Stornoway Cove’s 

(Innes, Uilly and Boydie) met up in the house to 

have the craic on a Saturday night playing some 

music with just the dog and cat watching. After a 

few tunes getting thrown across the room Boydie 

started muttering a few sentences. As he is a 

man of few words no attention was really given 

to him until he shouted “Quick, line me out!” Not 

a second to spare, a set of old broken 

headphones were cable tied to a guitar stand 

and this back fed the muttering into a crackly 

guitar amp and out came a few cobwebs 

followed shortly after with a second that nobody 

had ever heard before. What came next was five 

gallons of lyrics, verse after verse, song after 

song – PEAT & DIESEL WAS BORN!! The songs 

wont make much sense to the average person, 

but the person behind the lyrics isn’t your 

average man so if you have a listen and you can 

relate to it you are a special breed!

based musician and singer; Bob Hollis is 

renowned for his powerhouse vocals. Rising to 

local stardom fronting Ska band More From Jim, 

Bob shows us a different musical side as he 

trades bass guitar for acoustic. His performance, 

an eclectic mix of songs, demonstrates 

versatility and puts his vocal prowess on display.

CATRIONA MCGHIE & JODIE RAE :: At

Festival. 5:30-6:30pm. Catriona McGhie :: 

Catrìona is a 26 year old singer from Stranraer 

who released her debut album, Òran, in 2017. 

Catrìona can regularly be found in The Grapes 

Bar on Friday evenings performing with “The 

Cl’yholers”, or at local Open Mic sessions, where 

she regularly performs a variety of Scottish 

songs. Jodie Rae :: ‘At First Glance’ – a project 

established by Jodie – was selected as part of 

the commissions set out by the Young Promoters 

Group. The project will include a combination of 

her own musical material alongside British Sign 

Language Interpretation. Jodie Rae is musician, 

song-writer and actor currently residing in 

Ayrshire and has performed in multiple venues 

across Scotland, both musically and theatrically. 

Most recently, she was selected as a songwriting 

mentee for the Dumfries Music 

Conference Futures programme and utilised this 

to develop her musical identity as a song-writer. 


25 JULY 

KATE KYLE :: At Talking Horse*, Annan - as 

part of D&G Arts Festival. 4-5pm. Shortlisted for 

BBC Scotland Singer/Songwriter 2019, 19 year 

old Kate Kyle has recently released her 2nd EP 

“Without Warning”. With her strong soulful 

country vocals, Kate performs locally and 

nationally including events such as, Millport 

Country Music Festival and Celtic Connections 

among many others. “Kate Kyle sounds like 

she’s come right out of Nashville….one of the 

regions finest performers” – Bruce McKenzie 

D&G Life Magazine February 2021. Kate Kyle is 

also performing with Sarah Law at the Talking 

Horse in Dumfries on Saturday 24 July at 

2.30pm.

songwriter Dave Arcari’s alt.blues sounds owe as 

much to trash country, punk and rockabilly as 

they do pre-war Delta blues and have been 

showcased via nine internationally-acclaimed 

solo CD releases. Arcari's new album – Live at 

Memorial Hall – recorded at a venue close to his 

home on the eastern shores of Loch Lomond, 

Scotland, was released on 1 September 2017 on 

Buzz Records. Dave’s hard-hitting gravel-laden 

vocals and slashing bottleneck steel guitar make 

for an aggressive, dynamic blues-based sound 

that owes as much to punk, rockabilly and trash 

country as pre-war Delta blues.

Weddoes" have had eighteen UK Top 40 hit 

singles… not bad for a band that has, from its

industry’s game. A pioneering spirit has been at

RODDY WOOMBLE (Idlewild) :: At MacArts,

enigmatic lyrics, warm baritone voice and 

consummate gift for a tune, Roddy has released 

five solo albums to date - 'My Secret Is My 

Silence' (2006), ‘Before The Ruin’ (2008, with 

Kris Drever and John McCusker), 'The Impossible 

Song & Other Songs' (2011), 'Listen To 

Keep' (2013), and ‘The Deluder’ (2017). For the 

past two decades Roddy has also been the 

frontman of much loved Scottish alternative rock 

band Idlewild, releasing eight studio albums, and

support to R.E.M., Pearl Jam and U2 amongst

JOESEF :: At The Cluny, Newcastle. Glasgow’s

takes on three of his early releases, Loverboy,

TROY REDFERN on tour with 'WILLE & THE 

BANDITS' :: At The Cluny, Newcastle. Slide 

guitarist and singer-songwriter, Troy Redfern, 

dubbed by the British press as “the king of slide 

guitar,". Troy cut his teeth and refined his style 

over the last few years, playing festival main 

stages and blazing a trail across Europe, 

Scandinavia, and Russia. He’s also become a 

well-known draw on the UK Blues Rock festival 

circuit, playing alongside rock luminaries 

including Robert Plant. “Troy is a passionate, 

intense, free-spirited musician whose ferocious 

slide guitar style twists and turns timeless 

themes and ideas to his own ends. He’s a 

musical visionary unafraid to trample on the 

boundaries of restricting labels,” said Blues 

Matters Magazine. The forthcoming studio album 

is a culmination everything Troy has learnt so 

far on his musical journey, and, more 

importantly, brings into sharp focus a much 

tighter song-writing and more visceral, muscular

DJANGO DJANGO :: At The Cluny, Newcastle. 

Back in the old world at the start of 2020, our 

psychedelic punk heroes The Lovely Eggs were 

primed to release their new album ‘I Am 

Moron’ – their greatest work yet, over-flowing 

with political venom and fresh ideas, set to a 

gloriously independent noise. Then, of course, 

the pandemic happened. The Lovely Eggs 

pushed ahead, and the album came out to 







UK tour has been rebooked independently by 

the band at least five times and The Lovely Eggs 

are still yet to play the new album live, but new 

tour dtaes are now on sale for 2022.
