dissertações de
mestrado nas
áreas das TIC,
telecomunicações
e media
E O VENCEDOR É...
Todos os alunos que tiverem concluído um
dos mestrados abrangidos, numa das Escolas
do CEE, no ano letivo de 2019/2020,
puderam candidatar-se ao Best Thesis
Award. As candidaturas foram efetuadas
até dia 12 de abril de 2021, através do site
apdc.pt/bta.
As candidaturas consideradas elegíveis
serão analisadas por um júri, presidido
por um representante da APDC, ou por
um dos seus associados com competência
delegada, e composto por personalidades
de reconhecido mérito no domínio
das áreas do concurso. Os critérios de avaliação
centram-se na qualidade técnica e
científica da dissertação, na sua originalidade e caráter
inovador, mas também no seu impacto social.
A dissertação de mestrado vencedora do Best Thesis
Award será divulgada no 30º Congresso da APDC, que
se irá realizar nos dias 12 e 13 de maio de 2021, pela primeira
vez em formato híbrido (online e presencial, dependendo
das condições pandémicas).•

and Instituto Superior Técnico.
João Falcão e Cunha, coordinator
of CEE points out that “our higher
education in engineering, information
technologies and telecommunications
are of comparable quality
to the best schools in the world,
and is not limited to the acquisition
of knowledge and experience
in technologies and methods.
Our students often acquire skills
in group work, management, and
leadership of projects and people,
involving research and innovation
activities”. The Best Thesis Award
aims to recognize this merit and
commitment.
AND THE WINNER IS...
All students who will have completed
one of the covered Master’s
degrees at one of the CEE Schools in the
academic year 2019/2020 may apply for the
Best Thesis Award. The application must be
made by April 12, 2021, through the website
apdc.pt/bta.
Applications considered eligible will be analyzed
by a jury, chaired by a representative
of the APDC, or by one of its members with
delegated powers, and composed of individuals
of recognized merit in the areas of
the competition. The evaluation criteria will
focus on the technical and scientific quality
of the dissertation, its originality and innovative
character, but also its social impact.
The Best Thesis Award-winning dissertation
will be announced at the 30th APDC Congress,
to be held on May 12 and 13, 2021,
for the first time in a hybrid format (online
and in-person, depending on pandemic
conditions).•
