A primeira fase do Programa UPskill
recebeu mais de 5.500 candidaturas
e arrancou no último trimestre de
2020 com 430 formandos, em sete
localidades: Castelo Branco, Guarda,
Lisboa, Porto, Setúbal, Sintra
e Viseu, nos vários Institutos Politécnicos
e no ISCTE. Formaram-se
25 turmas de cursos como programação
em Java, .Net, Python, Cobol,
Outsystems, Gestão de plataformas
CRM e Enterprise Resource
Planning, Cloud Services ou Redes e
Cibersegurança. A idade média dos
participantes foi de 31 anos e o balanço
não poderia ser mais positivo,
como se pode confirmar por alguns
testemunhos: “É uma formação super
completa e que nos dá as ferramentas
necessárias para construir
um futuro mais risonho com uma
carreira sólida dentro desta área”;
“Espero que este seja o primeiro
passo para chegar a Chief Technological
Officer dentro de alguns anos. Temos
excelentes condições e os formadores
mostraram um enorme
empenho para que a nossa aprendizagem
seja um sucesso”; “A experiência
tem sido excelente. Os conteúdos
são muito interessantes e o
staff soberbo. Aconselho vivamente
o Programa!”.
Os estágios nas 20 empresas que
aderiram até agora ao UPskill já começaram
e, no segundo semestre
do ano, centenas de novos profissionais
estarão aptos para os novos
desafios digitais. Entretanto, está em preparação a
segunda edição do Programa, pelo que as empresas
interessadas podem a qualquer momento juntar-se
a esta iniciativa. O propósito mantém-se inalterado:
qualificar mais e melhores profissionais, tornar
as empresas mais fortes e preparadas, contribuindo
para um país mais competitivo. E mais digital,
claro.•

The second edition
of the UPskill
Program is already
under preparation,
with the purpose
of qualifying
more and better
professionals,
making companies
stronger and more
prepared and
contributing to a
more competitive
and digital country

After enrolling, candidates are submitted
to a set of qualification tests in an online
environment, followed by a face-to-face
interview, in which their level of English is
also assessed. The approved candidates
can select the training areas they want to
attend, full-time, these training actions
happen in one of the Higher Education
institutions included in the Program.
The first phase of the UPskill Program
received 5,600 applications and started in
the last quarter of 2020 with 430 trainees
in seven locations: Castelo Branco, Guarda,
Lisboa, Porto, Setúbal, Sintra, and Viseu,
in several Polytechnic Institutes and
ISCTE. Twenty-five classes were formed
in courses such as programming in Java,
.Net, Python, Cobol, Outsystems, CRM
platform management, and Enterprise
Resource Planning, Cloud Services or
Networks and Cybersecurity. The average
age of the participants was 31 years old,
and the balance couldn’t be more positive,
as confirmed by some testimonials:”

The internships in the 20 companies that
have joined UPskill have already begun
and, in the second half of the year, hundreds
of new professionals will be ready for the new
digital challenges. Meanwhile, the second edition
of the program is being prepared, so interested
companies can join this initiative at any time. The
purpose remains unchanged: to qualify more and
better professionals, to make companies stronger
and better prepared, contributing to a more competitive
country. And more digital, of course.•
