14. Select the network name/SSIDs for both of the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands of home source

router.

15. Connect the networks using wireless network password.

16. Recreate a new SSID for your TP-link extender’s repeater wifi network.

17. Assign the wireless security encryption by setting it to WPA2 Personal as the most secure

wireless connection type.

18. Click on Save.

19. This would complete the TP-link extender setup and apply the extended wireless

settings.

20. You can then connect your client devices to the TP-link extender’s extended wifi network.

TP-link extender setup using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)

TP-link extender setup over WPS is supported only if the home source router as well as the TP-link

extender is compatible with the WPS feature.

1. Press to push the WPS button on the TP-link extender for WPS TP-link extender setup.

2. The WPS power status LED on TP-link extender would start to blink.

3. Within the next few seconds, Push down to press the WPS button on the source router

as well.

4. When the WPS connection is set up, the WPS status LED would light solid.

5. If the WPS LED depicts weak signal bars, you must reposition the TP-link extender close

to the source router.

6. Repeat the TP-link extender setup above steps all over till you get strong signal bars.

7. Press the WPS button also to set up the client devices.

8. When the WPS LED light gets solid, TP-link extender setup connection is successful.

9. Now, you can connect your client devices to TP–link extender’s network, using the

default TP-link wifi details.
