At the Wedding

A hilarious, rough-edged new comedy from one of America’s most exciting new voices, initially developed at TheatreSquared as part of its Arkansas New Play Festival. Carlo is going to be really well behaved today. She’s not going to get drunk. She’s not going to give any long-winded speeches. And she’s definitely not going to try to steal the bride back.

Dear friends,
The Royale
The Half-Life of
Marie Curie
It’s such a joy to welcome audiences back to the theatre again
in person.
Not that we’ve been quiet in the interlude. With ten filmed and
streamed productions since last summer, it’s been an actionpacked
year. We’ve welcomed the national spotlight brought by
press from The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, All
Things Considered, The New Yorker and others. These were real,
transformative arts experiences that have revolutionized access
to TheatreSquared’s work.
Still, there’s nothing like the feeling of an audience around you as
the lights go down and the show begins: the expectant hush, the
shared laughter, the applause.
We’ve missed that feeling … so for the rest of 2021, let’s celebrate
together as often as we can! From My Father’s War, to Matilda the
Musical, to the music-filled American Mariachi, to the world
premiere of Designing Women, to the five-time Tony-nominated
musical Violet and our very own A Christmas Carol, this year is
jam-packed with amazing live theatre that we can experience
here, together.
And for this moment—this wonderful, shared moment—enjoy
the show!
Sincerely,
Martin Miller, Executive Director
Dear friends,
Over the past year, you’ve helped TheatreSquared reimagine how we
carry out our mission of creating remarkable live theatre. As one student
said, the virtual educational programs are a “beacon of light,” brightening
her life even while our stage is dark.
Thank you for being with us on this journey. The continued generosity
of caring members of our community is crucial to our successfully
raising the curtain again—and will help us make sure that no community
member is left out as we open the doors wide.
Will you join us today with your commitment to help make sure our
region’s theatre—your theatre—remains strong?
Your gift sends a powerful message of hope and momentum. With your support, you’ll also
become part of a members’ circle with invitations to join us for special occasions, including our
Season Unveiling on May 19th.
This recovery may take months or years, and many things will have changed forever. We may not
go back to where we were, exactly—but together, let’s create a better future. We appreciate the
care and generosity you have shown this year. Thank you.
Warmly,
Todd Simmons, T2 Board President
