Tiddlers Return
Tuesday Tiddlers, a play group for toddlers in Garswood,
was just one community project which closed the doors
when the pandemic took hold last year, but thanks to
local resident Lauren Quinn, the popular toddlers’ group
has resumed.
The group now meets from 9am-10.30am every Tuesday at
St Andrews Mission Hall on Garswood Road in the village.
Lauren has two children, including a lockdown baby born
in May 2020, and she has experienced first- hand the
isolation that parents and children have suffered in the
past year.
She said “I am keen on giving back some normality to the
parents in our community, for them and the children”.
As the toys and equipment for the original Tuesday
Tiddlers group were disposed of last spring, an appeal
has gone out for help in re-stocking the toy provision for
the group.
Lauren said “If anyone is having a clear out and has any
unwanted toys that are suitable for young children, it
would be lovely to have them for the church.
“Due to COVID any toys we use have to be easy to disinfect
so this means no soft toys unfortunately.”
