. <strong>John</strong> H. <strong>Becote</strong> was born on April 7th, 1943 in<br />
Florence County, SC. He was the son of the late<br />
Mr. Andrew and Mrs. China Rowell <strong>Becote</strong>. On<br />
Saturday, April 3rd, 2021, he entered into eternal rest<br />
and reunited with his spouse, parents and siblings, who<br />
preceded him in death.<br />
<strong>John</strong>, affectionately known as “Bubba”, attended the<br />
public schools of Florence County, including Wilson High<br />
School. He was formerly employed at Bethlehem Steele in<br />
Harrisburg, PA until retirement.<br />
Mr. <strong>Becote</strong> was a very caring and giving person, who<br />
loved his family. Although he enjoyed fellowshipping with<br />
family and friends, he preferred to spend most of his time<br />
with friends.<br />
Left to cherish his love and memories are; two children<br />
Marty McLaughlin, GA and Zena Williams of Florence,<br />
SC four siblings, Lillian Martin of Buffalo, NY, Mother<br />
Romell Miller, of Effingham, SC, Gloria ( <strong>John</strong>) McWhite<br />
of Baton Rouge, LA and Evangelist Elfreda (Deacon<br />
George) McLaughlin of Effingham, SC; one sister-in-law,<br />
Elizabeth B. <strong>Becote</strong> of Buffalo, NY; seven grandchildren,<br />
sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other nieces,<br />
nephews, relatives and friends.
