Johnny Henicks III
1981–2021
Johnny Chandray Henicks III was born on March 24, 1981
in Florence, SC to Johnny Henicks, Jr. and Frances
Mae Wright Henicks. He departed this life on Friday,
April 02, 2021.
Johnny, as he was called by many but family called him Chandray,
attended the Public Schools of Florence County. He was a young
man with a spirit of gold. He was a loving father, son, brother,
uncle, nephew and friend. He loved the youth in the community
and coached for the Seminole 6 Football and also baseball.
Music and DJ’ng, aka “DJ Hot Face” was a passion to Chandray.
He loved his boys, Keshawn and Heemy unconditionally.
Chandray attended Palmetto Missionary Baptist Church as
a youth.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents,
Joe and Treavor Jackson; paternal grandparents, Johnny and
Peggy Henicks.
Left to cherish his precious memories are: two sons, Keshawn
and Shyheem Henicks; parents, Johnnny and Frances Henicks;
two sisters, Sada Henicks and Patrice Henicks (Oneal Anderson);
one brother, Justin (Jessica) Henicks; three loving nieces,
Nia, Shadyshia and Haven; three loving nephews, Oneal, Jaylen
and Kayden; two godsons, Charlie Ford, Jr. and Travis Dyon
Miller, Jr.; numerous loving aunts and uncles; close cousins who
was like siblings to him; devoted friend, Keisha Sparks (Mother
of Keshawn and Shyheem); four bonus children; and many
forever friends.
