STANDING WOMEN,1927Namık İsmail is very fond of sports. Hehas a very luxurious cottage for his periodand often goes on long sea trips. Activeduties are also undertaken on the boardof directors of the Galatasaray Club. It isknown that he provides his students withthe opportunity to paint in the open airwith his "Pirate". They continue theirrelationship with his wife Mediha Hanımfor 10 years. Due to some problems intheir marriage, they have been separatedfor the last five years and divorced twomonths before the artist's death. Namıkİsmail died of a heart attack on August30, 1935 at the age of 45.
