On behalf of the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce, we are so excited to
invite you to the 32 nd Perry Dogwood Festival, April 10 th and 11 th . After a
long year of COVID and numerous event cancellations, we are happy to
be bringing this event back. Due to CDC requirements, our location has
changed for this year’s event but not our enthusiasm.
We invite you to “Meet us at the Midway” at the Georgia National
Fairgrounds & Agricenter. The Midway will be filled with nearly 200 craft
vendors, food vendors, our first ever Farmers Market, and of course the
beloved Ultimate Air Dogs. On Saturday night we will be in Historic
Downtown Perry with a new event called Hops & Chops. Enjoy free Axe
throwing and live music! Be sure to also checkout some of the other
sanctioned events such as the Dogwood Derby and the Hot Air Balloon
Rally. This weekend will be awesome! For more information and the schedule of events please visit our
Official Artist for 2021 — Debbie Grove
Debbie Grove, of DB Grove Art, is proud to have been selected as
this year’s Dogwood Festival Artist. She is a 1986 graduate of Mercer
University with a Bachelors Degree in Art. She is a wife and has 2
grown daughters. Debbie has been an artist all of her life, always
drawing and coloring as a child.
Her passion to create led her to teach elementary art before having
children and working as a mural artist while being a stay at home
Mom. She co-owned a small business for several years creating
hand painted home décor items and participating in art shows
around Georgia.
In 2018 Debbie started her own small business called BD Grove Art
where she has become known for her attention to detail in painting
home portraits, pet portraits, floral, and her unique choice of canvases; architectural salvage. Her ability
to give old pieces a second chance as art has become a passion.
From painting on old tin ceiling tiles to old wooden ironing
boards, the possibilities are endless and so much fun!
Debbie is a commissioned artist and enjoys working with her
clients to create a piece of art that is personal and meaningful to
them. Her work is available through her social media accounts on
Facebook and Instagram and she is proud to have her art sold
locally at 7th Street Downtown in Macon, Georgia.
Debbie’s artwork perfectly captures all that is the Dogwood
Festival; including wonderful arts & crafts vendors, the Ultimate
Air Dogs, beautiful Historic Downtown Perry and of course the
dogwood flower.
Official artwork of 2021: Prints, posters and t-shirts will feature
the art and can be purchased at the Chamber’s office or during
the Festival.
