we want to take this time to recognize two incredibly special young women that served as incredible
representatives of the miss douglas county scholarship program. when megan and olivia were crowned in
april of 2019, we knew we were in for an exciting year. these two ladies dedicated so much time preparing
to be titleholders that once they were crowned, they were ready to hit the ground running. during their
year of service, these ladies served hundreds of hours giving back in their community and have probably set
a record for the most appearances as a douglas county titleholder. megan and olivia have served
douglas county with kindness, grace, and have left some big shoes to fill. we are thankful for all the
laughs, memories, and extra time we got to spend with these talented, intelligent, and truly amazing young
women. welcome to the forever sisterhood and never forget that you will always be our girls.
congratulations to miss douglas county 2019, megan mclaughlin, and miss douglas county’s
outstanding teen 2019, olivia mccurdy on an incredible year of service.
