Professional Artistic
Research Projects.
Our mission is to
empower diverse communities of
people who believe in the arts.
It’s our ambition to support artists who
choose to pursue creative career paths
and to lend our knowledge of the arts
to help our community find ways to let
their creative voices shine.
As we launch This Capital Campaign, we’d like
to thank you in advance for lending us a bit of
your time and consideration.
Success will allow us to:
• Create space for working artists to learn
and grow through collaboration.
We are raising funds to complete a number of
upgrades at our Northside headquarters and to
purchase an expansion property adjacent to us
on Hoffner Street — steps needed to help us
become a valuable asset for artists, collectors,
and creative non-profits of Greater Cincinnati
and Northern Kentucky.
• Create space to broaden the community’s
interaction and participation in the arts.
• Create space to present artwork and host
thoughtful presentations.
• Create actively-artistic environments
that are rooted in education.
In 2010, we started in our community
via pop-up exhibitions, collaborative events,
and a few surveys along the way.
Launched in 2013, #MakersMobile was our original outreach pod
and Cincinnati’s first shipping-container-based art hub. Prior to us
purchasing land for our Northside Headquarters, #MakersMobile
and Big Blue — our first two shipping container spaces — gave us
a way to serve the art deserts of the region.
A few of the questions we’ve asked...
What types of
cultural activities do
you enjoy attending?
What stands out to us?
• The majority of survey
respondents are attending cultural
events on a monthly or even
weekly basis!
• Attendance at art openings
and seasonal festivals is
proportionately less in Northside.
Cincinnati 5 x PAR-Projects in 2017 is a great example of how
collaborations can promote a unified community. Neighborhood
parades, live music, spoken word, and fine art came together to
create this dynamic experience.
Five years on Hoffner St. and our offerings are growing.
We’re still creating experimental projects, but today we’re
expanding our operations to welcome-in additional artists
& non-profits, to help us create two distinct art spaces.
At our Headquarters, creating visual experiences is at
the heart of all we do. Our exhibitions and the creative
value of our collaborations are what sets us apart from a
This System is Working — an art installation by Maryland-based artist Christian Benefiel
— is an example of how artists are able to embrace the unique nature of our gallery space.
With the help of five artist assistants, this large-scale sculpture was constructed specifically
for our installation-only gallery space — The Nook — a first of its kind in Cincinnati.

Adjacent to our headquarters, we’re expanding into 15,000
square feet of mixed use space. Here, we’re offering below
Campaign success will help us drive economy and
build Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky culture
as we grow our impact beyond the Tri-State region.
Completing Phase 1 of our build-out will help our
non-profit become a viable, financially sustainable,
minority-led, arts & education organization.
As far as facilities, success will help:
- Complete the purchase of 1646 Hoffner Street
- Update and repair artist studios at Studeo PAR-
- Upgrade The Nook gallery and the facade of HQ
- Provide new landscaping for our courtyard
- Add new restrooms to both properties
14

Looking beyond Cincinnati, our expansion will help us
continue attracting talent to the region. In-turn, our hope
is that we will help local talent expand their reach by
connecting with artists we bring to the Tri-State.
Setting our impact zone to a 250 mile radius — as the
crow flies — allows us to focus on working with mid-size
cities throughout the Midwest. Connections at university
art programs often assist with regional inroads.
Two Blocks from Northside’s business district, our
headquarters offers a familiar escape. As our growth
continues, our hope is to encourage more development
and walkablility in this section of the community.
Add real image of HQ
At HQ, we will continue to provide:
- A place where people gather for cookouts and potlucks
- A place that offers outdoor space for events and fundraising
- A place that publicly screens art films & family movies
- A place that welcomes local & regional artists to play
Our Campus is a testament to the energy we’ve
been building through years of collaboration. With our
current growth, we’re focusing our attention on ways
to bring communities together.
