service to Kåñëa; madhuraù-considering supremely beautiful; jayati-all<br />

glories; viditaù-known; sa-akaratayä-with great abundance; dhuréëaù-leader;<br />

dhéräëäm-of the saintly persons; adhi-dharaëi-on the earth; vaiyäsakiù-Çukadeva<br />

Gosvämé; iva-like.<br />

Eternal glories to Sakara Mallika, who is filled with spiritual love, who is learned in<br />

Çrémad-Bhägavatam, who has turned from the hapiness of the world of birth and<br />

death, who tastes the sweetness of devotional service, who is the leader of the<br />

devotees, and who is like Çukadeva Gosvämé in this world!<br />

Note: Before Lord Caitanya gave him the name Sanätana, Çréla Rüpa Gosvämé's<br />

brother was known as Sakara Mallika.<br />

rasänäm ädhärair aparicita-doñaù suhådayair<br />

muräräteù kréòä-nibiòa-ghaöanä-rüpa-mahitaù<br />

prabandho 'yaà bandhor akhila-jagatäà tasya sarasäà<br />

prabhor antaù sändräà pramada-laharéà pallavayatu<br />

rasänäm-of the mellows of devotional service; ädhäraiù-by the reservoirs; aparicitadoñaù-unaquainted<br />

with; doñaù-fault; suhådayaiù-with friends; mura-of the Mura<br />

demon; äräteù-of the enemy (Çré Kåñëa); kréòä-pastimes; nibiòa-intense; ghaöanä-effort;<br />

rüpa-by the form; mahitaù-glorified; akhila-of all; jagatäm-the universes; tasya-of Him;<br />

sarasäm-of the waters; prabhoù-of the Lord; antaù-within; sändräm-powerful; pramadaof<br />

delight; laharém-waves; pallavayatu-may increase.<br />

May this sweet and faultless poem, which is praised by they whose hearts are good,<br />

and which is glorious with the description of the Lord's form and pastimes, make<br />

waves of happiness bloom in the heart of Lord Kåñëa, the friend of the worlds.
