tvadéyo vyäpäras tava tuna yayau vismåti-patham<br />

vinéta-prahlädas tvam iha parama-krüra-carite<br />

prasakto yad bhüyaù para-hådaya-bhedaà janayati<br />

cirät-for a long time; antarbhutä-unmanifested; parahari-mayé-of Lord Nåsiàhadeva<br />

(the half-lion half-man incarnation); mürtiù-form; abhitaù-completely; tvadéyaù-Your;<br />

vyäpäraù-activity; tava-Your; tu-but; na-not; yayau-went; vismåti-of forgetfulness;<br />

patham-to the path; vinéta-gentle; prahlädaù-Prahlada; tvam-You; iha-here; paramasupreme;<br />

krüra-cruel; carite-in the activity; prasaktaù-attached; yat-which; bhüyaùexceedingly;<br />

para-of the enemy (Hiraëyakaçipu); hådaya-of the heart; bhedam-the<br />

breaking; janayasi-You perform.<br />

Although Your form of Lord Nåsiàhadeva has long since disappeared, it has not<br />

walked on the path of being forgotten. You, who are pleased with the humble, are<br />

still inclined to act cruelly and break others' hearts.<br />

yad ätmänaà darpäd agaëita-guru vämana mudä<br />

mano-räjyenäòhyaà tvayi balitayä kalpitavaté<br />

prapede tasyedaà phalam ucitam eva priya-sakhé<br />

vidüre yat kñiptä praëayamaya-päçe nigaòitä<br />

yat-because; ätmänam self; darpät-because of pride; agaëita-not considering; guruùteacher;<br />

vämana-Vämana (Kåñëa's incarnation as a dwarf-brähmaëa); mudä-with<br />

pleasure; manaù-of the mind; räjyena-with the kingdom; äòhyam-enriched; tvayi-to<br />

You; balitayä-following the example of Bali Mahäräja; kalpitavaté-offered; prapedesurrendered;<br />

tasya-of that; idam-this; phalam-result; ucitam-proper; eva-certainly;<br />

priya-dear; sakhé-friend (Çrématé Rädhäräëé); vidüre-far away; yat-from which; kñiptäthrown;<br />

praëaya-maya-consisting of love; päçe-in the bonds; nigaòitä-bound.<br />

O Vämana, proudly ignoring Her superiors, my dear friend happily offered to You<br />

the kingdom of Her heart. She attained an appropriate result. You bound Her with<br />

ropes of love and threw Her far away.
