na-not; nirvaktum-to describe; dämodara-of Lord Dämodara; pada-of the foot; kaniñöhaof<br />
the smallest; aìguli-toe; nakha-of the nail; dyuténäm-of the splendor; lävaëyam-the<br />
beauty; bhavati-is; caturäsyaù-Lord Brahmä, who has four heads; api-even; caturaùexpert;<br />
tathäpi-nevertheless; stré-of women; prajïa-by the intelligence; sulabha-small;<br />
taralatvät-from fickleness; aham-I; asau-this; pravåttä-engaged; tat-His; mürti-to the<br />
form; stava-prayers; rati-attachment; mahä-great; sähasa-reckless; rase-in the mellow.<br />
Although even the demigod Brahmä cannot describe the glory of Lord Dämodara's<br />
smallest toenail, because of the fickleness of womanly intelligence I recklessly try<br />
to glorify His form.<br />

viräjante yasya vraja-çiçu-kula-steya-vikala-<br />
svayambhü-cüòägrair lulita-çikharäù päda-nakharäù<br />
kñaëaà yän älokya prakaöa-paramänanda-vivaçaù<br />
sadevarñir muktän api muni-gaëän çocati bhåçam<br />
viräjante-shine; yasya-whose; vraja-of Våndävana; çiçu-of boys; kula-group; steya-theft;<br />
vikala-bewildered; svayambhü-of Lord Brahmä; cüòä-of crowns; agraiù-with the tips;<br />
lulita-touched; çikharäù-tips; päda-of the feet; nakharäù-toenails; kñaëam-briefly; yänwhich;<br />
älokya-having seen; prakaöa-manifest; parama-supreme; änanda-overwhelmed;<br />
saù-he; deva-of the demigods; åçiù-the celebrated sage (Närada); muktän-to the<br />
liberated souls; api-and; muëi-of sages; gaëän-to the multitudes; çocati-lamented;<br />
bhåçam-greatly.<br />
Kåñëa's toenails, which were touched by the crowns of Brahmä unsettled after<br />
stealing the boys of Vraja, and which Devarñi Närada, seeing for a moment, became<br />
overwhelmed with bliss and greatly lamented for the liberated sages, shines with<br />
great splendor.<br />
Note: Närada lamented for the impersonalists, who cannot appreciate the glory of<br />
Lord Kåñëa's toenails.<br />
