bharäëäà dhäräbhir dhavalita-dharitré-parisarä<br />

iti-thus; kräntvä-having approached; kekä-kåta-virutim-full of the singing of peacocks;<br />

ekädaça-eleven; vaném-forests; ghané-bhütam-dense; cütaiù-with mango trees; vraja-in<br />

Våndävana; madhu-vanam-the Madhuvana forest; dvädaçam-the twelfth; idam-this;<br />

puré-city; yasmin-in which; äste-resides; yadu-of the Yadu; kula-dynasty; bhuväm-place;<br />

nirmala-pure; yaçaù-reputation; bharäëaà-possessing; dhäräbhiù-with the flowing<br />

streams; dhavalita-purified; dharitré-earth; parisarä-border.<br />

Passing through eleven forests filled with the singing of peacocks, you will come to<br />

the twelfth, Madhuvana, thick with mango trees, where the capitol of the Yadus,<br />

which with the flooding streams of its fame purifies the world, is manifest.<br />

niketaiù-with houses; äkérëä-filled; giriça-of Lord Çiva; giri-of the mountain (Kailäsa);<br />

òimbha-children; pratibhaöaiù-rivalling; avañöambha-stambha-of pillars; ävali-with an<br />

abundance; vilasitaiù-splendid; puñpita-with blossoming flowers; vanä-forests; niviñöalocated;<br />

kälindé-of the Yamunä river; taöa-bhuvi-on the shore; tava-your; ädhäyati-will<br />

place; sakhe-O friend; samanta-complete; änandam-bliss; madhura-sweet; jala-water;<br />

våndä-multitude; madhu-puré-the city of Mathurä.
