(“AiR Digital”), has enteredinto a Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”)with South Korea’s largest ready-mix concretecompany, Eugene Corporation (“EugeneCorporation”), to explore opportunities for theadoption of PanU’s revolutionary intelligentoptimisation platform called AiR, the acronymfor Artificial Intelligence for Ready-Mix Concrete(“AiR”).The MoU was signed in Singapore by MrChung Jin-hak, Chief Executive Officer ofEugene Corporation, and Mr Ken Loh (“ 羅嘉遜 ”),Chief Operating Officer of PanU and Directorof AiR Digital. The strategic agreement willfacilitate information-sharing between thetwo companies, allowing the KOSDAQ-listedEugene Corporation to assess and evaluatethe utility of tapping on the AiR platform toaccelerate its digital transformation in theconstruction and logistics space.The unique AiR platform employs artificialintelligence, data analytics, algorithms andsensor technologies to optimise verticaloperations along the entire value chain. AiRcan be plugged into existing operations tooptimise every stage of a user company’soperational supply chain – from replenishingraw materials, managing customer orders104
and deploying capacity at batching plantsright up to facilitating quality control checksand e-billing. Benefits include streamliningday-to-day operations, improving productivity,reducing manpower wastage and producingsubstantial cost savings.Offered in the form of a software as a service(“SaaS”), the AiR platform is modular andcustomisable depending on each usercompany’s operations, logistics requirementsand existing supply chain structure. Parameterscan be set based on factors such as costversus time, truck assignments or prioritycustomer projects. Algorithms and machinelearning are built into AiR to seamlesslyovercome operational ‘pain points’.Mr Ken Loh, PanU’s Chief Operating Officer,said: “By bridging technology with strongdomain knowledge from our two decades inthe cement and ready-mix concrete industry,PanU has developed a new technology offeringthat can be commercialised and offered toother regional and global players. The Grouprecently designed and produced a 3D-printedconcrete bench using NEWSand, a materialcreated from repurposed municipal solid wasteslag, in a project collaboration with Singapore’sNational Environment Agency (“NEA”). Theconcrete bench was unveiled at NEA’s YearTowards Zero Waste event in November 2019.PanU is the first and only concrete firm to winthe 2019 ‘Sustainability Leadership Award’,jointly conferred by the Singapore GreenBuilding Council (“SGBC”) and the BuildingConstruction Authority. It was also the firstconcrete firm to attain the SGBC’s highestgreen ‘Leader’ certification in 2017.105
