described as that “which passeth allunderstanding.” In other words, itis beyond human comprehension.As Paul sat in prison penning thosewords, he not only had joy but alsoencouraged others to “Rejoice inthe Lord alway” (Philippians 4:4).Humanly speaking, Paul had noreason to be filled with joy. Hesuffered a wrongful imprisonment.However, God gave him peacethat passes all human reasoning. Ifyou are in a seemingly impossiblesituation, the same peace isavailable to you.Step 5: Fear Nothing – Wherethere is anxiety, there is usually feartoo. However, when God gives usHis peace, we have nothing to fear.Notice what His peace does for ourhearts. “The peace of God…shallkeep your hearts and minds throughChrist Jesus.” The word keep inthis passage is quite instructive.It is a military term, meaning “toguard” or “to protect.” Don’t missthe application—the peace of Godprotects our hearts and our minds.With Christ Jesus standing guard,we have nothing to fear! No earthlywoe or diabolical foe is a match forthe Prince of Peace. We are safein the arms of Jesus. Let us restupon Him and allow Him to carryour burdens.Conclusion – Each time worry andfear begin to infect your heart, availyourself of the Great Physician’sprescription. When you findyourself becoming anxious, followthese five simple steps: worry aboutnothing, pray about everything,give thanks for all things, expectsomething, and fear nothing. If youfollow this plan, the Lord will floodyour heart with peace and standas the Sentinel of your soul.
