Isuzu’s all-new Next Gen Plus engine oil is<br />
rated to the latest CK-4 American Petroleum<br />
Institute (API) specificati<strong>on</strong>s, marking a<br />
significant improvement from the previous<br />
API CJ-4 rated oil released in 2007.<br />
This advancement allows for excellent<br />
corrosi<strong>on</strong> protecti<strong>on</strong>, good oil pumpability<br />
and anti-wear properties, improving engine<br />
life expectancy and overall functi<strong>on</strong>, Isuzu<br />
says. Key benefits include improvements in<br />
shear stability, soot c<strong>on</strong>trol and oxidati<strong>on</strong><br />
resistance.<br />
The CK-4 rated lubricant exercises low<br />
volatility whilst in operati<strong>on</strong>, reducing<br />
viscosity breakdown and oil c<strong>on</strong>sumpti<strong>on</strong><br />
under high temperature operating<br />
c<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong>s – translating to fuel savings.<br />
Increased soot c<strong>on</strong>trol reduces pist<strong>on</strong><br />
deposits, resulting in better engine reliability<br />
and decreased wear and tear over the course<br />
of ownership.<br />
An improved oxidati<strong>on</strong> resistance means<br />
less sludging and oil degradati<strong>on</strong>, helping<br />
to protect against ring sticking. Lower ash,<br />
sulphur and phosphorous levels also help<br />
to protect critical systems, including Isuzu<br />
trucks fitted with diesel particulate diffuser<br />
regenerati<strong>on</strong> technology.<br />
Isuzu’s Next Gen Plus 10W-40 engine oil<br />
is available for order in five-litre, 20-litre,<br />
205-litre and 1,000-litre quantities.<br />
