Peppa Pig and
Gerald Giraffe
[Jim Jiraff]
1. Mummy and Daddy Pig
are measuring the children.
“You’re growing tall, Peppa,”
says Mummy Pig.
2. They measure George as
well. “I’m taller (talach) than
(na) George,” says Peppa.
3. But at school, Peppa gets a
surprise (syndod). There’s a
new boy there – Jim Jiraff. And
Jim is very, very tall!
4. So, when the children go out
to play hide and seek (chwarae
cwato – south; north – chwarae
cuddio), there’s a little
problem ... or a big problem
perhaps. “One, two, three, I’m
coming,” says Peppa.
5. But Jim can’t hide. “Here you
are!” says Peppa. And Jim is
very disappointed (siomedig)...
Jim doesn’t want to play any
more (rhagor). “Sometimes,
it’s a nuisance being tall,” says
Jim Jiraff.
6. The other children go to
play football (pêl-droed). But
now there’s another problem.
The ball is stuck (sownd) on
the branches (brigau) of the
tree and no-one (neb) can
reach (cyrraedd) it.
7. Peppa has an idea. “How
about asking Jim Jiraff?” says
Peppa. Jim stretches (estyn)
his neck high into the tree and
brings the ball down. “Well
done, Jim,” say the children.
8. At the end of the day,
Jim’s parents come and
collect him from school.
They are very, very, very tall.
“Sometimes, it’s great being
tall,” says Peppa.
Who is tallest
(mwya tal)? Put a circle around
the right answer.
