MOTOBIKE 

ORTEMA is an innovative company specialized in 

orthopedic technology and sport orthopedics. It 

is situated in the South of Germany and very well 

accessible by all means of transport. Due to our 

splendid contacts with top international and national 

athletes we were able to acquire a lot of know-how 

and experience regarding the technical treatment of 

sports injuries. 

ORTEMA has been involved in protection and prevention 

for quite a few years. As a result of our international 

contacts with various associations, teams and 

national teams we have been able to develop bandages, 

braces and protectors that set high standards regarding 

functionality and anatomically correct design. 

We always try to achieve best results by 

individual fitting and the implementation 

of modern materials and methods of 

manufacturing. Newer sport-orthopedic 

studies show us that preventive measures 

can help reduce the risk of injuries 

and may even prevent them. Progress 

at ORTEMA goes without saying. This is 

why we always keep on 

developing and furthering our techniques, our implemented

Especially in higher risk sports such as Moto-Cross, Enduro, 

Supermoto, Rallye or Speedway a knee injury can result 

in a long rehabilitation or in the worst case, the end of the 

rider’s career. The K-COM is a carbon-fibre knee brace 

with titanium knee joints made from a mould and 100% 

customized. It can either prevent knee injuries or be used 

after injury of the cruciate and/or collateral ligaments, knee 

surgery and osteoarthropathy. The K-COM distinguishes 

itself by its perfect fit, extremely low weight with high 

stability and very important for the riders: no slipping. 

The thin structure and high wearing comfort round up the 

brace’s qualities and it can be worn under the racing suit 

practically unnoticed. This brace protects the knee joint 

perfectly from injuries making it the best of its kind and 

hard to beat. A knee cap protector is fitted for offroad 

sports.

ABOUT THE KNEE 

A rupture of the medial meniscus, inner 

collateral ligament such as a rupture of the front 

cruciate ligament represent an enormous damage 

to the knee. 

Special stockings are worn underneath the K-COM 

knee brace. These have the advantage that they allow 

sweat to dissipate quicker and due to them fitting 

tightly to the leg they further increase the wearing 

comfort. 2 versions are available. 

The „Müller“ model: Stronger version with additional 

silicon coating for even better skin contact. Lengths 

are 65 cm (up to 175 cm body length) and 80 cm 

(exceeding 175 cm body length).

KNEE BRACE 

The X-PERT knee brace represents a completely new 

constructional concept. It benefits from the many years of 

experience gained from the development and production 

of the K-COM knee brace and is a lower-priced plastic 

version available in 3 sizes which effectively reduces the 

risk of injuries to the knees in motor-sports. 

The X-PERT distinguishes itself by its low weight 

combined with high stability. The padding material on 

the inside prevents a slipping of the brace and offers 

high wearing comfort. The removable knee cap protector 

further protects the often exposed areas which are prone 

to injuries by stones and blows. Polycentric mechanical 

knee joints copy the movement of the natural joint as 

closely as possible and can be limited in terms of 

extension and flexion. The joints are made of a 

high-quality steel to meet the tough requirements of 

motor-sports. All in all the X-PERT knee brace protects 

and stabilizes the knee joint and was designed to fulfill 

the needs of all participating in motor-sports.

The Genu-Hit knee bandage has spiral stays on the sides 

and an additional silicon ring around the patella. It stabilizes 

and relieves stress due to the circular compression. 

This support has a practically bunch-free, perfect fit in the 

region of the back of the knee. Main indications for the 

bandage are post-traumatic inflammation of the knee and

MANU-MX CARBON VERSION 

The Manu-MX wrist brace is individually manufactured 

from a plaster mould and made of carbon-fibre, thus 

making it extremely light yet stabil. It mainly prevents 

an overextending of the hand and so protects the wrist. 

Limitation of movement is adjusted individually according 

material and is anatomically formed.

ONB - Ortema Neck Brace, is made of apractically 

unbreakable high-performance plastic and distinguishes 

itself by its extremely low weight. The individual 

height can easily be adjusted by Velcro pads. The

avoid the neck brace exerting pressure centrally on 

the spine. The force transmission, especially in

COOLING VEST- COOL MOTION 

The vest holds by the principle of evaporative cooling, cool 

- once soaked in water and wrung out the cooling effect 

starts. The special fabric stores a certain moisture content 

produced by evaporation of a balancing cooling and keeps

This shoulder brace made of a specific polyethylene 

is prefabricated and can be fitted and adjusted 

individually. It can be used after shoulder injuries such

P1 Light 

A maximum of wearing comfort combined with security 

and simultaneous freedom of movement. These criteria 

were fully met with the development of the P1 back 

protector (protection one). The structure in itself is its 

main characteristic: Combined hard outer and soft inner 

foam components guarantee reliable protection of the 

spinal column. This system is completed by the overlapping 

synthetic plates in the core of the protector. As 

it is flexible the movement of the spine is not impeded. 

The P1 X-Air is fitted with adjustable shoulder straps 

that prevent slipping when worn underneath the clothes. 

It has larger openings to guarantee better ventilation. 

The protector is also suited for kids and women.

DYNAMIC 

The P1 dynamic combines the features of the P1 

Light and the P1 X-Air. This results in the CE-tested 

protector offering perfect wearing comfort combined 

with a minimum of weight. This is possible by using a 

new memory foam concept which absorbs forces well 

and reduces the energy by deforming the material. 

The mesh fabric on the inner side combined with the 

openings in the protector plate itself guarantee good 

ventilation. The Dynamic gets softer when in contact 

with body warmth allowing it to adapt to the contours 

of the back. Elastic shoulder straps fix the protector 

to the upper body, can however be removed if required. 

The Dynamic is available in 5 different sizes and 

can be combined with the Lumbo-X MX or Enduro 

kidney belt. A coccyx pad which covers the lower 

region of the spine such as the tailbone offers further 

protection and is fitted by a Velcro strap. It can be 

removed if neccessary. The cover can be taken off

The technical structure of the Lumbo-X was 

conceived to meet sport-orthopedic criteria. It 

mainly consists of a meshmaterial that guarantees 

an up to 80% improved humidity exchange 

compared to formerly used materials. 

Integrated stabilizing belts provide a perfect fit and 

good support in every situation. The new “Ortho-Tech 

Protection System” was specifically developed to 

reduce external forces and protect the lower part of 

the spinal column. An integrated link chain follows 

the movement of the body to the front while preventing 

an overstretching to the back and this allows for a 

maximum of movement combined with a high safety

These tight-fitting pants are made of a material allowing 

for humidity exchange and protectors that allow for the 

full range of movement whilst protecting the region of the 

hip. Due to the tight fit combined with very good wearing 

comfort there is practically no slipping of the protector 

pads in the case of a crash. 

A tailbone protector increases safety. The unique material 

the protectors are made of guarantees very high shock 

absorbing qualities. Soft during movement because the 

air in the material can escape through the capillaries. 

In the case of impact however the material gets 

hard due to the compressed air and so protects 

the hip.

After only 20 minutes following a 

distorsion or bruising the swelling 

and pain can be reduced 

significantly. This is possible due 

to a new bandage with a gel-like 

inlay which can retain cold 

extremely well. The patented 

construction offers the possibility 

of additionally applying pressure in 

the region of the injury. This is 

done by using a hand pump which 

blows up an air-filled pad allowing 

the bandage to adapt perfectly to 

the body shape and as a first combines cooling with 

compression in one system. The cooling bandages 

are available for eight different regions, e.g. knee, 

shoulder, hand, ankle joint or elbow. To optimally 

activate the cooling gel the bandage should be stored

ORTEMA not only offers individual sport orthopedic 

solutions but also has an own centre for medical training 

therapy and performance diagnostics. Here athletes can 

regain their strength and mobility after accidents, injuries 

or surgery by using the most modern computer- 

supported training aides. The individual workouts are 

guided and observed by certified sports scientists and 

physiotherapists. More than this it is possible to establish 

an exact performance diagnosis. This enables the serious 

amateur athlete and the professional athlete alike to 

check and assess their current performance 

levels and to adjust their workout appropriately. 

Following tests are offered to establish and optimize 

the current performance level: 

- The isometric maximum strength measurement tests 

the strength of different muscle groups (torso, legs). 

The results of the individual regions (e.g. spinal/ 

abdominal muscles) can be compared and should 

any imbalances be evident the workout can be altered 

appropriately. 

- Coordination and mobility tests of the sports-relevant 

muscles can further help to optimize the individual 

workout. 

- The lactate level test assesses the endurance capacity. 

Measured variables are the running speed or Watt 

performance on the ergometer, such as heart-rate 

frequency and the concentration of lactic acid 

in the blood. 

After the exact analysis of the tests specific workout 

programs can be established. Then, it is possible - again 

with professional guidance - to perform the workouts in 

our on-site training facility ORTEMA Medical Fitness. 

A re-evaluation is offered after 3 months at the earliest 

to check on the athlete’s progress.
