Eva Näripea<br />
Eva Näripea is the director of the Film Archive of the National<br />
Archives and the editor of Studies in Eastern European Cinema<br />
(Routledge). In 2011 she defended her doctoral degree at<br />
the Estonian Academy of Arts with her dissertation Estonian<br />
Cinescapes: Spaces, Places and Sites in Soviet Estonian Cinema<br />
(and Beyond). She has published more than thirty research articles<br />
on the history of Estonian and Eastern European cinema in various<br />
international journals and article collections, compiled special<br />
issues and collections of articles in scientific journals (most recently<br />
Studies in Eastern European Cinema in 2020) and translated film<br />
literature. She is a member of the Estonian Society of Art Historians,<br />
a member of the council of the Estonian Academy of Arts and the<br />
Tallinn Print Triennial, and a founding member of the Estonian Young<br />
Academy of Sciences.<br />
