PIQUÉ
All the fabrics that Stanley/Stella uses are made from organic,
sustainable or recycled materials to ensure that our environmental
footprint is as gentle as possible – GOTS-certified
organic cotton, Tencel ® made from FSC/PEFC-certified
wood pulp, GRS recycled cotton, and GRS recycled
polyester. While making this eco-conscious decision,
we never compromise on comfort, style or functionality.
Whatever the type of knit or weave – from smooth single
jersey, durable piqué and cozy sweats, to robust ripstop
and sturdy canvas – we always choose our fabrics with the
utmost care to ensure the best possible fit, feel and performance,
as well as superior printability.
The basic knit structure where the
front side is smooth, while the back
side is piled with loops.
The same as single jersey, but with
slub yarn, which gives the irregular
appearance.
Slub yarn knitted in a looser way,
giving a more flexible fabric.
Knitted using tuck stitches to create
a honeycomb-like geometric
structure, commonly used for
polo shirts.
The front side has a smooth jersey
structure, while the back side has
a distinct loop structure.
Sweatshirt fabric is called “brushed”
when the inside loops of a French
terry knit are carefully brushed, for a
soft, warm feel.
Fabric that is brushed on the front
side for a sheepskin look, and that
feels cozy and warm.
Used for sweatshirt cuffs and
hems, with single alternating wales
that look identical on both sides of
the fabric and offer greater stretch.
Used for sweatshirt cuffs and
hems, with double alternating
wales that offer even more elasticity
than 1x1 rib.
CANVAS
Natural, GMO-free fibre grown
without any chemicals. Our cotton
yarn is made of long staple fibres
only, and is combed and ring spun.
Soft, breathable, and easily printable.
Made from pre-consumer waste,
including our own cutting waste.
Shorter fibres require blending
with higher-quality fibres like
recycled polyester for accessories
and organic cotton for t-shirts.
Made from recovered PET bottles
to reduce plastics pollution. All
components on our jackets are
recycled polyester, easing end-oflife
recyclability. Strong and durable.
Made from wood pulp from FSC/
PEFC forests. These fibres are
blended with organic cotton to offer
added coolness and a fluid drape.
The most common type of woven
fabric, with yarn in a criss-cross pattern.
Woven fabric reinforced with
cross-hatched threading for better
resistance against rips.
