The Future of Occlusion Control
The newly developed registration system
by Bausch combines the traditional
and digital registration of the pressure
distribution of occlusal surfaces.
The OccluSense ® handheld is a
battery powered device which
uses a local wireless network to
transfer recorded data to
the OccluSense ® -iPad-
App. The inductive
charger provides
wireless power
transfer and its
fully charged
batteries
allow
the usage of the device for up to four
hours.
The OccluSense ® Electronic Pressure
Sensor is 60 microns thin and can
be used just like traditional
occlusion test materials.
The technologically
advanced OccluSense ®
pressure sensors
allow the recording of
masticatory forces in 256
pressure levels. The thin and flexible
material permits the recording of both
static and dynamic occlusions.
Additionally, the red colour coating marks
the occlusal contacts on the patient’s
teeth. The traditional colour transfer
on the occlusal surfaces facilitates the
assignment of the recorded data.
The data of the occlusal masticatory
distribution is displayed with the
OccluSense ® iPad App.
Furthermore, the
data can be displayed
as 2D and 3D
graphics, including
the masticatory
distribution, with up
to 150 images per
second and can be
stored in the patient
management system
of the iPad App for
review or export at
any time. ■
