Comments

Determine the NH 4 HS concentration of the condensed water. It is suggested to

determine this value with ionic process models. However, approximate values may be

calculated from analyses of H 2 S and NH 3 as follows.

If wt% H 2 S < 2 × (wt% NH 3 ), wt% NH 4 HS =1.5 × (wt% H 2 S)

If wt% H 2 S > 2 × (wt% NH 3 ), wt% NH 4 HS =3.0 × (wt% NH 3 )

The vapor phase velocity should be used in a two-phase system. The liquid phase

velocity should be used in a liquid full system.

Determine the partial pressure of H 2 S by multiplying the mole% of H 2 S in the gas

phase by the total system pressure.
