The Faculty of Economics, University of Mostar, is
pleased to announce the international conference
entitled“ Economic Theory and Practice: Meeting
the New Challenges“, which will be held on
November 11-12, 2011.
The conference will cover the following topics:
• Global economy and business,
• European integration: economic
implications and challenges,
• Entrepreneurship, innovation and
competitiveness,
• Finance: theoretical and practical
considerations,
• Marketing dynamics in a globalizing era,
• Management in the age of change,
• Knowledge society and knowledge
economy,
• Environmental economics and sustainable
development.
The general aim of this conference is to give the
opportunity for academics, researchers, doctorate
students and practical professionals also from
other relevant fields to meet each other and
promote international collaboration by presenting
their projects and innovations and sharing their
experiences.

Abstracts have to be written according to the following
criteria:
• Abstracts have to be in English,
• Abstracts cannot contain more than 500 words
and 5 key words,
• The title page of abstracts must include title of
paper: names, affiliations, addresses with email
addresses for all authors,
Abstracts should be written
in letter quality type Times new Roman, font 12,
once spaced, margins 2,5 on both sides.

The Conference Proceedings
will include the Conference Program
and the book of selected and presented papers.
The selected papers will be published
in a special publication upon
review by the members of the Scientific Commitee.
• The Organizing Committee can book
accommodation for participants at hotels in
Mostar. Additional information will be
provided in due time.
• Participants can also arrange their travel and
accommodation themselves using a travel
agency of their choice. Please inform the
organisers if this is a case.

Participation: Only fully registered participants, their
accompanying persons and special guests of the
Organizing Committee can take part in the
conference. Unregistered attendance is not allowed.
Registration: Registration of the participants will be 11
November from 8:30 a.m. Please tell your name and
surname, country at the registration desk.
Accompanying persons do not have to register, but
they receive a badge saying VISITOR.
• A study excursion is planned for November 13,
2011.
• It is optional and not included in the
registration fee.
