Dassana (nt.) [Sk. dar$ana, see dassati1] -- 1. Lit. seeing, looking; noticing; sight of, appearance, look.<br />

Often equivalent to an infinitive "to see," esp. as dat. dassan!ya in order to see, for the purpose of seeing<br />

complete or highest knowledge of, gifted with "clear" sight or intuition (see j!n!ti passati & cp. ñ!*a --<br />
