Khallaka in baddh! up!han!yo shoes with heel -- coverings (?) Vin i.186 (see Bdhgh. note on it Vin Texts
ii.15). Also as khalla -- baddhâdibheda' up!hana' at PvA 127 in expln of up!hana. Kern (Toev. s. v.)
sees in it a kind of stuff or material.

Khall!ta [Sk. khalv!ta, cp. khalita] bald, in -- s"sa a bald head DhA i.309. Der. khall!tiya baldness, in
khall!tiyapet" the bald -- headed Pet" PvA 46 (where spelled khal!tiya) and 67.
Khallika
Khallika only at S v.421; cp. S iv.330 (Dhamma- cakka -- p -- Sutta). It is a misreading. Read with
Oldenberg, Vin i.10, k!mesu k!masukhallik!nuyoga (devotion to the passions, to the pleasures of sense).
