Kiccha [see kasira] 1. (adj.) (a) distressed, in difficulty, poor, miserable, painful: kicch! vatâya' idha vutti

Kicchati
Kicchati [v. denom. fr. kiccha, cp. Sk. k%cchr!yate] to be troubled, to be wearied, to suffer Th 1, 962 (w.
acc. of obj.); usually with kilamati: k˚ k!yo kilamati Th 1, 1073. Used in a play of words with vicikicchati
by Bdhgh at DhsA 354 as "!ramma*a' nicchetu' asakkonto kicchati kilamati" and at Bdhd. 25 (on
vicikicch!) as sabh!va' vicinanto et!ya kicchati kilamati.
Kiñcana
Kiñcana (adj. -- nt.) [ki'+cana, equal to ki'+ci, indef. pron.] only in neg. sentences: something, anything.
From the freq. context in the older texts it has assumed the moral implication of something that sticks or
adheres to the character of a man, and which he must get rid of, if he wants to attain to a higher moral
condition. Def. as the 3 impurities of character (r!ga, dosa, moha) at D iii.217; M i.298; S iv.297; Vbh
368; Nd2 206b (adding m!na, di&&hi, kilesa, duccarita); as obstruction (palibujjhana), consisting in r!ga, etc.
at DhA iii.258 (on Dh 200). Kh"*a -- sa's!ro na c'atthi kiñcana' "he has destroyed sa's!ra and there is no
obstruction (for him)" Th 1, 306. n'!ha' kassaci kiñcana' tasmi' na ca mama katthaci kiñcana' n'atthi "I
am not part of anything (i. e. associated with anything), and herein for me there is no attachment to
anything" A ii.177. akiñcana (adj.) having nothing Miln 220. -- In special sense "being without a moral
stain," def. at Nd2 5 as not having the above (3 or 7) impurities. Thus freq. an attribute of an Arahant:
"yassa pure ca pacch! ca majjhe ca n'atthi kiñcana' akiñcana' an!d!na' tam aha' br(mi br!hma*an" Dh
