P!&ih!riya (adj.) [grd. formation fr. pa&i+h% (pa&ih!ra) with usual lengthening of pa&i to p!&i, as in ˚desan"ya,
˚mokkha etc. Cp. p!&ih"ra; BSk. pr!tih!rya] striking, surprising, extraordinary, special; nt. wonder, miracle.
Usually in stock phrase iddhi˚, !desan!˚, anus!san"˚ as the 3 marvels which characterise a Buddha with

P!&" (f.) [?] at VvA 321 in phrase sukka -- pakkha -- p!&iya' "in the moonlight half" is doubtful. Hardy in
Index registers it as "part, half -- ," but pakkha already means "half" and is enough by itself. We should
probably read pa&ip!&iya' "successively." Note that the similar passage VvA 314 reads sukka -- pakkhe
pannarasiya'.
