with the idea of a ppr. by defining it as "pariy!t" ti pariya', paricchindat" ti attho"] encompassing,<br />

fathoming, comprehending (as ger.); penetration, understanding (as n.). Only in phrase ceto -- pariya --<br />

ñ!*a knowledge encompassing heart or mind (cp. phrase cetas! ceto paricca) D ii.82 sq. (v. l. ˚!ya); iii.100<br />

(v. l. ˚!ye); DA i.223 (corresp. with pubbe -- niv!sa -- ñ!*a); with which alternates the phrase indriya --<br />
