A Christmas menuTO SHAREIf covid restrictions stop you welcoming bignumbers into your home at Christmas, could youprepare a feast to deliver? The idea is that you deliver pre-cooked (orpre-prepared) Christmas food to family, friendsor lonely neighbours nearby. Then on the day(Christmas lunch maybe? or a dinner the weekbefore?), you all cook/heat up the meal, and eattogether “in spirit.”You’ll need to think about how you can prepareyour meal to travel to your loved ones’ homes, ready for them to enjoy hot and fresh on the day.On the left is a Christmas menu I created for our“Christmas in July,” which I then made up intothree separate portions. One portion was for usto eat at home, while the other two were madeto be delivered to family members in two otherhomes. We couldn’t race around delivering the feastwhile it was still hot (not without eating our owncold), so I designed the meals to be “mostlycooked,” and delivered them a day early, readyto be fi nished or reheated for lunch.I’ve shared tips on how I did this on page 30,in case you’d like to try something similar foryourself.I’ve also made my menu into a printable templatefor you, so you can write your own menu ontothe blank page to share with loved ones whenyou deliver the food (a “proper menu” makesit feel more special and festive); and anotherblank template for you to jot down any cooking/reheating instructions that go along with yourfeast. Simply print off the two following pages ofthis newsletter to use the menu.27WWW.NAOMILOVES.COM
