paróquia é esculpida por falésias, planícies aluviais e lagos glaciais depositados durante milênios de erosão glacial, e

rodeado por floresta antiga rara que rodeava os flancos laterais destes geleiras.

Economia

Têxteis são o principal produto de exportação local; Loriga foi um hub os

têxteis e lã indústrias durante a meados do século 19, além de ser a

agricultura de subsistência responsáveis pelo cultivo de milho. A

economia Loriguense é baseada em indústrias metalúrgicas, panificação,

lojas comerciais, restaurantes e serviços de apoio à agricultura.

, na cidade de Loriga.

Enquanto que a indústria têxtil, desde então, dissipada, a cidade

começou a atrair um comércio turístico devido à sua proximidade com a

Serra da Estrela e Vodafone Ski Resort (o único centro de esqui em

Portugal), que foi construído totalmente os limites paroquiais.
