Voltage converter module<br />

Connecting the pushbutton module via the operator panel interface<br />
A voltage converter module UTS is required for connecting the<br />
pushbutton module (see page 5/31) to the SINUMERIK 840C<br />
controller. The voltage converter module is fitted to the rear of the<br />
pushbutton module with six spacer pins. The hardware is supplied<br />
with the module. This add-on assembly increases the overall<br />
height of the pushbutton module by 50 mm.<br />

Connecting the pushbutton module via the keyboard interface<br />
Features<br />
• Matching of input/output signals of the keyboard interface to<br />
the signal level of the pushbutton module<br />
• Signal decoupling and isolation via optocouplers.<br />
The voltage converter module is connected to the pushbutton<br />
module and the keyboard interface via ribbon cable sets supplied<br />
with the module. When the slimline screen is used, the voltage<br />
converter module can be directly connected to the operator<br />
panel interface by means of the cable set provided. For connection<br />
to the keyboard interface, standard cable set 1 or 2 is needed.<br />
