Community Involvement<br />
Through volunteerism, <strong>financial</strong> support and inkind<br />
giving CWT continues <strong>to</strong> step up our efforts<br />
and reach out <strong>to</strong> underserved communities. Last<br />
year we provided logistics and transportation<br />
support <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Children’s Cancer Foundation at its<br />
‘Hair for Hope’ fund-raising drive. We also made<br />
contributions <strong>to</strong> non-profit charitable organisations<br />
which count <strong>the</strong> less privileged, young children and<br />
<strong>the</strong> needy as beneficiaries. Some of <strong>the</strong> charitable<br />
events which we supported included World<br />
Gourmet Summit Charity Dinner <strong>to</strong> raise funds for<br />
Community Chest; Dover Park Hospice Sunflower<br />
Ball; and donations <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Yellow Ribbon Fund, <strong>the</strong><br />
Business Times Budding Artists Fund and Lions<br />
Befrienders, among o<strong>the</strong>rs.<br />

2011, CWT became a co-sponsor for <strong>the</strong> fifth<br />
straight year at <strong>the</strong> Russia-Singapore Business<br />
Forum organised by International Enterprise (IE)<br />
Singapore. A homegrown logistics company we<br />
also celebrated with <strong>the</strong> nation and sponsored<br />
waist pouches for participants and volunteers at<br />
<strong>the</strong> Singapore National Day Parade 2011.<br />
The CWT Group operates one of <strong>the</strong> largest fleet<br />
of heavy vehicles ranging from trucks <strong>to</strong> prime<br />
movers and trailers in Singapore. As part of our<br />
ongoing effort <strong>to</strong> promote road safety awareness<br />
and instill proper and safe driving discipline, we<br />
launched a Road Safety Campaign for our drivers<br />
last September. This is just an example of our<br />
corporate responsibility <strong>to</strong>wards society – <strong>to</strong> help<br />
keep our roads safe for our drivers and <strong>the</strong> public<br />
