Our People<br />
Our people play a pivotal role in ensuring <strong>the</strong><br />
Group’s sustainable development and long-term<br />
success. CWT continues <strong>to</strong> refine and improve<br />
our human resource policies in attracting,<br />
engaging and retaining <strong>the</strong> right people <strong>to</strong> lead<br />
<strong>the</strong> Group <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> next phase of growth. In 2011<br />
we expanded our diversified workforce in line with<br />
our business expansion. Today our 5,000-plus<br />
dedicated employees <strong>the</strong> world over are unified by<br />
a shared vision in ‘connecting world trade.’ They<br />
form <strong>the</strong> nucleus from which we innovate, build<br />
relationships and grow <strong>the</strong> business.<br />
At CWT we aim <strong>to</strong> create an inclusive and fun<br />
workplace where employees bond, learn and grow<br />
<strong>to</strong>ge<strong>the</strong>r. We encourage open communication and<br />
engage employees through regular feedback and<br />
meeting sessions, birthday and festive celebrations<br />
as well as via our intranet portal which shares<br />
general employee resources, news and events.<br />
New employees also undergo an orientation<br />
programme <strong>to</strong> help <strong>the</strong>m familarise with <strong>the</strong><br />
business and work environment.<br />
As part of our overall growth strategy, CWT<br />
promises a rewarding career and continues<br />
<strong>to</strong> nurture and develop our people <strong>to</strong> acquire<br />
new knowledge and skills. Over <strong>the</strong> past twelve<br />
months many of our employees attended various<br />
enrichment and training courses as part of <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
learning and development and skills upgrading.<br />
