Line, 2019Alba Izaguirre@izaguirrealbaCaracas, Venezuela«La línea se desplaza como trazo suelto y moldea en sí su propia estructura para convertirseen soporte de luz, el tubo como extensión del cable se viste de blanco en búsquedade mimetizarse en el entorno; el contorno sostiene el faro, este objeto cotidianoproveniente de una motocicleta en esta ocasión es empleado a modo de readymadeu objeto encontrado, el foco se convierte en la estrella que cuelga como punto y finalde la proyección de la línea, dicho objeto se dispone así con la función de alumbrar, deiluminar como lo haría una luciérnaga, casi desapercibida, como flotando, como unbrillante, como noctiluca en medio del mar.La creación de «Line - S01C01» representa la materialización de la primera pieza pertenecientea una serie de variados diseños de objetos lumínicos que se encuentran aúnen etapa de desarrollo, sin embargo, dicha serie no surge con pretensiones industriales,por el contrario, Line apunta a un trabajo artesanal mucho más cercano al escenariodel arte, donde prevalece lo único en un juego de constante creación. Aún en el caso detener la intención de reproducir dos piezas iguales, sin duda serían diferentes debido asu meticuloso proceso constructivo; el doblez de una continua pieza tubular de hierrode considerable resistencia requiere de una precisión geométrica importante, no admiteerrores, no acepta soldaduras ni empates, sobre todo al ser elaborado de maneraartesanal, con una dobladora hidráulica manual de pequeña escala que ha requeridode ajustes y transformaciones para materializar el diseño inicial, trabajo que es en granporcentaje ejecutado por su autor, una mujer pequeña y de fragilidad aparente queinsiste en hacer grandes cosas».Line - S01C01:Tubo de hierro de 3/4” Cal: 2.5mmFilamento PLA (Impresión 3D)Guaya galvanizada 1.6mmFaro de moto (Keeway)Cable ST
“The line moves like a loose line and molds its own structure in itself to become a supportfor light. The tube, as an extension of the cable, is dressed in white seeking to blendin with its surroundings. The outline supports the headlight, an everyday object froma motorcycle. Here, as a readymade or as a found object, the focus becomes the starthat hangs as the point and end of the projection of the line. An object with the functionof lighting and illuminating as a firefly would do, almost unnoticed, like floating, like abrilliant, like a noctiluca in the middle of the sea.The creation of “Line - S01C01” represents the materialization of the first piece belongingto a series of varied designs of lighting objects that are still in the development stage.This series does not arise with industrial pretensions, on the contrary, Line aims at ahandicraft work much closer to the art scene in a game of constant creation. Its meticulousconstruction process makes the production of two identical pieces impossible,even if that was the intention.
