“The use of color, geometry and play are three traits that graphic and product designer
Anabella Georgi and ceramicist and designer Kiara Matos share. This, added to her
Venezuelan origins, can be clearly seen in her new design collaboration called Altar.
This proposal refers to the altar as a representation of faith in universal cultures and a
space of hope, of connection with oneself, where the external is in tune with the internal.
The design concept is a modular system, based on a cylinder made up of three pieces
of different heights that fit together, creating patterns that vary their function and
shape. This versatility allows you to change its functionality as a vase or candle holder,
as available. These two possibilities of use are what give rise to the name of the piece,
since both flowers and candles are classic offerings on the altars of the world.”
