A Grade
The girls had a solid season and developed
great links in a short timeframe to finish
third on the table. With only a Grand Final
being contested, they missed out on a
finals opportunity, but were grateful to
get out on court for the time they had.
The team has lost five players from their
original line-up for summer 20/21 but
with a full season ahead there is time to
work things out and get some wins on the
board. The first two rounds have seen close
matches for this new team in A3 – losses by
just two and three goals – so it won’t take
much time for them to get over the line.
B Grade
After the delayed start to the season, we
were all keen to get back on the court. We
were lucky to have Rachel Morrison back
for the start of the season after having
her first baby and we also welcomed
back Melanie Burke and Nicole Baldwin
from a couple of seasons off. The A3s had
a great start to the winter season and
were undefeated until the final 2 rounds.
Unfortunately, we lost the final 2 rounds
and finished 3rd, with only the top 2 teams
able to play off in the final. After a short
break returned for the summer season. We
look forward to having one of stars, Jasmin
Gobbett, back for round 3, returning from
a torn calf muscle and tendon.
C Grade
After welcoming back our stellar line up
from the previous two seasons we kicked
off the season with a win. With the old
cliché of taking it one game at a time, the
girls found that one win followed another.
At the end of the season we were not only
minor premiers but went into the Grand
Final undefeated! After being challenged
in every quarter Scotch forged ahead
and backed each other up, digging deep
at every chance during what was a hot
weather day for winter netball. No one gave
up and it showed as we finished the season
undefeated Premiers! Congratulations on
an incredible season and Premiership girls,
truly deserved by a dedicated team.
Owing to Covid restrictions, our end of
season dinner was cancelled in favour
of each team having their own private
dinner to present best player awards and
celebrate the season. Congratulations
ladies on your incredible seasons, your
contributions to your teams have not gone
unnoticed.

At the start of this season our club held
its AGM and it is with great sadness that
we bid farewell to Erica Wadham (’91) as
outgoing President and Kate Pennington as
outgoing Treasurer. Your years of service,
love and dedication to our club has not
gone unnoticed and we thank you for all of
your hard work over the years. You have left
the club in fantastic condition and we look
forward to carrying on your legacy. It is with
pleasure that we see Natasha Miller stay
on as club Secretary, your ongoing work
for our club does not go unnoticed and we
thank you for taking on this role again. I
would also like to introduce Erin Farinola as
our new club Treasurer and myself as club
President. We have big shoes to fill and
look forward to the challenges that await
us and working together as a committee to
carry on your legacies.
It’s great to see so many girls interested
in playing netball, and we are always
welcoming new members to the club either
as full time players or as fill ins. Anyone
