7.1 Meeting with Proactive re: membership survey (Ad Hoc Cttee: Paul, Terri,
Helen, Olia).
• Survey areas: demographics, roles, training, issues, expectations,
suggestions or SSAAM.
• Discussion of distribution of survey.
Action: Paul asked for input re: survey questions

MOTION that SSAAM decouple membership fees from the SSAAM conference
registration and establish a process whereby those who participate as voting members
at regional meetings are paid-up members of Provincial SSAAM.
CARRIED
Action: Regional Reps to take this matter to regional meetings and ascertain how
many local participants are paid-up members of Provincial SSAAM.
7.2 Meeting with Minister: (March 20: Paul, Monique, Terri, Twyla)
• Discussion re: need to pass legislation and implications (regulations).
• Presented 4 resolutions from AGM:
- Role of S.S. Administrators
- Funding (transportability) of Aboriginal students moving
on/off reserve
- Shortage of clinicians
- Certification of Resource, CP. Ed., Counsellors
• Requested to be considered for Minister's Advisory Cttee. On Safe Schools
(Minister will reply to Paul by April 10th).
7.3 ABA Cttee. Report (attached)
• Terri passed out Terms of Reference.
• Terri recommends that SSAAM become a member of this committee. She
will attend the next meeting on March 26th.
• Bob McDill will ask for a Rep from METRO SSAAM.
