more than 50 rarely seen Rockwell<br />
paintings and drawings. The exhibition<br />
will be held from July 2, 2010,<br />

<strong>the</strong> connection between Rockwell’s<br />
iconic images of American life and<br />

Educating worldwide audiences<br />
To solve a 17th-century murder<br />
mystery, <strong>Booz</strong> <strong>Allen</strong> and <strong>the</strong> Smithsonian<br />
Institution National Museum<br />
of Natural History combined<br />
science and fiction into an awardwinning<br />
program. As part of a pro<br />
bono project, <strong>the</strong> firm developed an<br />
interactive Webcomic, “The Secret<br />
in <strong>the</strong> Cellar—A Written in Bone<br />
Forensic Mystery from Colonial<br />
America” (http://writteninbone.<br />
si.edu/comic), that helps users interpret<br />
forensic information.<br />
The Webcomic—just one aspect of<br />
<strong>the</strong> exhibition “Written in Bone:<br />
Forensic Files of <strong>the</strong> 17th-Century<br />
Chesapeake,” on view through January<br />
6, 2013—won <strong>the</strong> 2009 Best<br />
Practices in Distance Learning<br />
Programming Gold Prize from <strong>the</strong><br />
US Distance Learning Association.<br />

Deepening national pride<br />
For four years, <strong>Booz</strong> <strong>Allen</strong> has partnered<br />
with <strong>the</strong> Music Center at<br />
Strathmore and Maryland Public<br />
Television to air a star-studded concert<br />
on PBS stations nationwide,<br />
part of a Veterans Day salute to all<br />
women and men who serve in <strong>the</strong><br />
US armed forces. The 2009 concert,<br />
“America’s Veterans: A Musical<br />
Tribute,” began airing on November<br />
11 and featured <strong>the</strong> US Air Force<br />
Symphony Orchestra and <strong>the</strong> Singing<br />
Sergeants, along with a variety<br />
of guest artists.<br />
<strong>Booz</strong> <strong>Allen</strong> was also a lead sponsor<br />
of “George Washington & His Generals:<br />
Highlighting Excellence in<br />
Leadership and Innovative Military<br />
Strategy,” which offered unprecedented<br />
revelations into America’s<br />
dramatic past and drew crowds<br />
to <strong>the</strong> new Donald W. Reynolds<br />
Museum and Education Center at<br />
historic Mount Vernon.
