Mocktail anyone?
There is an indisputable trend amongst millennials to cut back on alcohol, with more and more people
enjoying low- or no-alcohol beverages for various reasons. If you’re looking for a drink that has all the
fun but none of the booze this festive season, then here’s one to try! We asked the talented team of
mixologists at Alchemy at the Ballito Lifestyle Centre to give us a yummy alcohol-free adult drink that
would make our taste buds soar … and they didn’t disappoint!
Instructions
In a cocktail shaker, combine the
mint sprigs and sliced strawberries;
muddle. Add the lime juice and ice.
Shake to blend and chill. Pour into
a coupe glass half-filled with ice
(Tip: crushed ice makes it that much
better). Top with the soda water and
stir. Garnish with mint sprigs and a
fresh strawberry quarter.
(This can easily be made into an
alcoholic version by adding a good
quality white rum of your choice into
your cocktail shaker!)
